I'm liking the new direction so far this season. Didn't know it was a short season though, how much shorter than normal? Aren't they normally 10 episodes?

last season of GOT was boooooooooooring

True Blood has already started off with a bang. Nothing is dragging and they have dived in head first with crazy shit.

I'm pretty sure they're normally 12 episodes, so this one is shorter by two. Seems like I recall hearing it's because of Anna Paquin's pregancy.

^that's correct. Only 10 bc Anna was still going to be recovering from birthing twins

I at least think he's a faerie that has sided with Warlow and is his daytime spy.

I am also enjoying this season so far. There's been some silly, but they aren't wasting time any time. I was worried about some of these additional characters, but so far they don't seem to be in vain. Eric totally has his mojo back. The only character I'm slightly annoyed with is Alcide. The V needs to wear off--he's a major grump.

Eric and his come hither eyes drive me crazy

I loved Ginger last night, I would be exactly the same if Eric Northman showed up at my door.

Season 2 of GoT was only boring if you're a mouthbreather.

--------------------

This season of true blood is better than the last few so far. But thats like polishing a turd.

This season of True Blood is better than the last 2 so far. The script is pretty good and hilarious at times.

I like that it doesn't take itself too seriously.

To me, you really can't compare GOT and True Blood b/c they are 2 entirely different shows with 2 entirely different personalities/attitudes.

True Blood is good at what it is supposed to be, and GOT is good at what its supposed to be.

the shaving scene was hilarious!

and I felt bad for the new vamp... I hope she doesn't get the true death too soon

Alcide has become so annoying

I feel like Eric has to be up to something. He's not stupid enough to think that a 1-2 day old vampire could control her vampire urges so soon when back with the governor and other humans.

but would they even turn to dust since they are 1/2 faerie 1/2 human? But yeah they probably aren't dead. We now have an opportunity for there to be more faerie vamps like Warlow/Ben if they end up attempting to turn them.

however, i can't figure out how they grow so fast considering Claudine, Claude and Niall and every other full faerie we met is super old yet looks young in comparison. And of course Sookie being 1/4 faerie she aged quite normally...as I'm sure her dad did as well. Perhaps there's something to a faerie giving birth to a half fae-human versus Sookie's grandmother giving birth to a half fae-human.

But...meh, plot holes more scenes like Eric turning Willa please.

i'm confused about how everyone figured out that ben is warlow?

was it established that warlow is half-fae/half-vamp and I forgot?

it took me a sec when the lightbulb went off in Niall and Jason's heads. i did not share this lightbulb moment.

Maybe I missed something but how did Sookie figure out Ben was Warlow? At least Jason and their fairy grandfather had some clues leading them in that direction.

To be clear...my dislike is for the Eric and Pam cliffhanger. I am perfectly content with the episode as a whole. Except for Alcide. Just stop with that whole story.

Re Warlow, the previous episode after Jason was miraculously no longer dying, sookie found blood on the floor. She used her fairy light in how Niall taught her and the way the blood changed colors means it was a vampire.

Yeah Sookie knew he was Warlow because her grandfather showed her the funky blood of the beast that ate all the fae in the little invisible gypsy/fae home in the field. She saw his blood matched so she knew that he was the one that murdered everyone, thus making him most likely to be Warlow.

The whole Sam/Alcide thing should just stop, that storyline is boring and pointless.
Glad they revisited the fact that Lafayette has some abilities too, but tired of him just being a ghost-puppet, haha.
...The Jessica and ex-Miss Newland part was great, haha.
Glad we got more history into Warlow/Lilith.

I'm pretty pissed off with this whole "possessed Lafayette is kidnapping and drowning Sookie" scenario. That dumb bitch could have fairy blasted him as soon as he tried to tie her up.

As to Eric and Pam, there's obviously no way that either of them is going to die. Seems more than obvious to me that one of them is gonna throw the stake through the glass and they'll break out or whatever.

I thought it was a pretty boring episode.

***SPOILER ALERT***

Brian Buckner (replaced Alan Ball) has said in multiple interviews that a main character will die this season. A lot think it will be Eric/Alexander Skarsgard (his movie career is picking up...The East is out now and getting excellent reviews). While I agree that it seems more obvious they will kill someone through the glass, I don't like the situation even being presented as a possibility.

/end spoiler

does anyone else notice sookie's makeup looking pretty wonky this season?

maybe it's because I've been using shitty streams instead of HD for the past couple of years until now, but it looks egregiously cakey lately.

Yeah sometimes I forgot about the time frame from season to season since they never really talk about it. From 4-5 it was like a year, but from 5-6 it picked up immediately where it had left off from. So I keep forgetting that Luna died LAST WEEK instead of LAST YEAR, lol.

She obviously made more progeny after warlow, only thought would be that one of them
stored a vial of her blood (it wasn't exactly buckets, more like a cup or less).

Terry getting killed was the first time a television show death has affected me emotionally, I'm not sure why I felt so bad about his character dying especially since I knew it was coming.

damn

i thought they'd drag out a terry-being-confused-about-someone-trying-to-kill-him storyline for a bit.
