I have to win this week and next to be playoff eligible. League where I have been screwed by luck mostly, I'm 4th overall in points but I'm in 11th, yuck. Anyways, heres my shitty RB situation, hopefully some news comes out soon... I have to pick 1 of Snelling, Julius Jones, Forsett or Bernard Scott. 11/29/2009 11:23:59 AM |

JJ won't play Forset will be the stater Scott will start with Benson out Snelling may be limited with Turner and Norwood active today
I'd go Forsett
Any advice on TO or Slaton at flex? 11/29/2009 11:55:09 AM |

AP has an ankle injury and some other 'ilness'. i'm benching him inplace of Ricky Williams. always risky to bench AP, but Ricky can tear it up against the Bills 11/29/2009 11:58:54 AM |

Both are questionable, but I have to play one of them. Both are listed as active.
Any ideas? 11/29/2009 12:12:50 PM |

^^ VY has a low ceiling but is playing without mistakes right now. He will get you at least 10-12 points, which is better than alex smith can do. Neither are excellent but i'd ride the VY train while its still moving. 12/1/2009 1:16:11 AM |

Better third WR:
Meachem @ WAS
or
Garcon vs. TEN

Meachem has more upside, Garcon isn't bad either.
Based on how awesome the passing game has been lately, you'd have to say Meachem, plus he's caught a TD within the last 3 games I think.
Meachem is the guy. 12/1/2009 3:30:26 PM |

In a matchup of 1 vs 2 (me as 2, him as 1), he had an 18 pt lead going into the NE-NO game. I had Colston, he had the NE defense. Nevertheless Colson got me 18 pts (thank you 4td Q TD) and the Patriot defense got -1 pt. I win
Please get healthy Cedric Benson - I cannot believe I am saying that. I need you for the playoffs. 12/2/2009 11:25:16 AM |

^ Jax has a terrible secondary, but so does Atlanta. I would go with Schuab simply because McNabb's biggest weapons (Desean and Celek) are both fighting injuries. Celek will play, but Jackson may not. 12/2/2009 12:06:29 PM |

I'm not so sure about that analysis. You left out that Ryan and Turner will not be playing this week so Philly will more than likely own the possesion time and get the short field a couple of extra times. I would go with McNabb in that situation. 12/2/2009 12:17:25 PM |

go with schaub. He has been putting up consistently high numbers throughout the season and JAX has one of the worst secondaries in football. Houston should have no problem running up the score. 12/2/2009 2:34:04 PM |

MJD is my number one but who do I go with this week as my #2? 12/2/2009 6:47:36 PM |

^ You go with Jackson. Chi's D is depleted and S-Jax has put up 100+ in 4 out of his last 5. He didnt last week, but he put up 85 and a TD.
As for ^^^ the Schaub vs McNabb is Dead.
Schaub put up 300 and 3 when they played earlier in the year and that was with Jax's best CB, Mathis, in the game. Mathis is out this week and Jax actually is decent against the run.
YOU HAVE TO START SCHAUB HERE. I AM IN MY BIG $$$ LEAGUE AS WELL.

^^ tough to bench Rodgers there... I'm not sure how productive Palmer has been the last few weeks.
I've got a tough WR decision this week. I need to start 3:
Steve Breaston vs MIN Mike Wallace vs OAK Braylon Edwards @ BUF Antonio Bryant @ CAR Mark Clayton @ GB
I'm aware that my WRs are garbage. I've started Breaston/Wallace/Edwards for the last few weeks with some success... But last week Bryant and Clayton both did markedly better. Thoughts? 12/3/2009 7:28:11 AM |
daddywill88 All American 710 Posts user info edit post |
^ Breaston (Run D is too stout they will have to throw it) Bryant (Hate to say it but... its Carolina) Wallace (He has the best matchup left)
Pick 2 McCoy (@Atl) Forsett (SF) Slaton (@Jac) J. Stewart (TB) Fred Jackson (NYJ)
Pick 2 Calvin Johnson (@Cin) Burleson (SF) Breaston (Min) TO (NYJ) Santana Moss (NO)
Then I need one out of the remainders for flex. Opinions? 12/3/2009 10:34:51 AM |
wahoowa All American 3288 Posts user info edit post |
^^ Breaston (ARI wont be able to run) Edwards (Sanchez has played better) Bryant (Freeman looks good and ATL has a bad D) Id be a little hesitant to start Wallace because he is the 3rd receiver and PIT should be able to run the ball effectively.
^ McCoy and J. Stewart. If J. Jones is out for Seattle Id put Forsett in for Stewart. Burleson and TO based solely on the matchups.
Breaston or Slaton as the flex. 12/3/2009 10:46:30 AM |

^ you really think TO can be productive against Revis? I was pretty sure that Megatron would be a sure stater for me. Thanks for the input. 12/3/2009 10:50:25 AM |
wahoowa All American 3288 Posts user info edit post |
^ I dont think Revis will be solely on TO because Lee Evans also can produce...though obviously I dont know what the Jets D. Coordinator is thinking. Most likely he may control a side of the field.
Based on matchups I wouldnt use Johnson because CIN has been beastly against the pass...allow something like 180 ypg in the passing game. Still I could understand why you would choose Johnson over TO. Breaston is an option IF Warner plays...otherwise Leinart will be struggling against the MIN defense. Moss is so inconsistent that it is hard to recommend him (and the Saints D is darn good too).

I've got to play 2 RB's and 1 flex out of these.
Steven Jackson @ Chicago Ricky Williams vs New England Cedric Benson vs Detroit Pierre Thomas @ Washington
I'm thinking Pierre might get the bench this week, but does anyone else have a suggestion? 12/3/2009 4:11:54 PM |
daddywill88 All American 710 Posts user info edit post |
^ Its a toss up between Pierre and Benson. If Benson is 100% you have to start him against Detroit. Jackson and Williams are automatic starts at this point in the season. 12/3/2009 4:15:41 PM |
Ronny All American 30652 Posts user info edit post |
I agree. I am pretty sure Benson is 100%, although Larry Johnson might cut into his carries. I imagine they'll be running a lot against Detroit, and Reggie Bush possibly coming back might decrease Pierre's value. 12/3/2009 4:19:11 PM |
