that's my problem. I am not too terribly tall (fairly average) but every time I wear heals like that, I feel like I tower over people. especially when the few girls I ever end up hanging out with are shorties.

ya i haven't found a wedge in my size that is shorter that a 4" heel.

I only wear heels if I am going out and the tallest pair I own i think is 3"

^ouch!

yea, I avoid heels unless going out with people (preferably they would also be in heels...)
I just feel out of place if I where them otherwise.

lol, some of the 32A unpadded bras are too small, so I only buy the padded push up add a size type ones.

hair products. what do you use?

do you curl your hair or make it wavy? what do you use? including curling irons, etc. i'm curious. especially about products used when curling with curling iron. or ways you wear your hair curly/wavy without just scrunching.

when i wear my hair curly i always put in a straightening cream in my hair first. i find that it fights frizz better than a curly product because the curly products can make hair crunchy. i use garnier frutice straightening cream. then i use this curly spray gel after about 5 minutes and distribute that throughout my hair. it normally does the trick and keeps my hair curly without frizzing all day.

i use chi products for straightening my hair which work WONDERS in the intense houston humidity

when i curl my hair, i find that it holds best if my hair isnt super clean. i'll wear it straight for 2-3 days then throw in some conair rollers, spray some hairspray, remove and pull my bangs back with 2 bobby pins then spray some more hairspray. i like bumble and bumble because it smells good and gives a good hold without it making your hair all hard and shit

i can curl my hair a few days in a row before i feel like its just gross and needs to be washed. i will brush my hair back straight when i get home, put it in a pony tail and curl it the same way as above the next day

using this method i can get away with washing my hair maybe once or twice a week. i dont do it all the time but having long hair, i try not to wash it unless i need to and my hair isn't naturally greasy so i can pull it off

my hair is naturally curly but it will frizz like a mofo in this humidity. When I want it to be bunchy curly I go old school and use aussie spray and scrunch. You spray it on when your hair a still damp and scrunch it up( although I normally pile it all on my head with a claw clip) and let it dry. Then it stays pretty scrunched up for the rest of the day, if you have straight hair that won't hold a curl then this stuff probably won't work, sorry.

thanks!! nah the scrunching works for my hair but a lot of products make it look more crunchy when it is scrunchy. i have wave in my hair and i straighten it kinda frequently and i'm trying to stop (its like an addiction, really) doing it so often. but i can't find a way to wear my hair that i like.

i mean the scrunching is ok. i scrunch with some TIGI stuff and then use a diffuser to blow dry a little. but i want to try curlers or curling iron (which i know doesn't really help the heat styling, but still. it seems like slightly better than straightening).

god damn dnl, get out of the ladies thread. I'm a fucking size six, and five seven, with a twenty four inch waist. Quit talking shit. I wasn't showing off my epeen, and none of these girls would want that size anyway- the point was I know bras.

ANYWAY

Has anyone ordered from DSW.com? I shop with them in Cary all the time, but it would be so handy to take advantage of the free shipping. They send me coupons all the time, and I like their frequent flyer like point system. I'm such a sucker for shoes...

I found this AWESOME pair of shoes this weekend... but they were out of my size. They were the only ones I found that I liked to go with the dress I bought this weekend. I need to wear the dress on Saturday, and don't really want to go looking again. They are super cute and comfy. Is it worth driving to Greensboro to get them??
(oh yeah, and they're 50+% off... so I'm not too worried about the whole gas thing)

If I blow dry my hair, it's in between straight and curly, so I straighten it and it looks good. I use Redken Smooth Heat Glide it then. If I leave it wet to air dry, I put in some curling mousse and Aussie Sprunch Spray. Currently Im in love with Sunsilk Captivating Girls - best smelling mousse ever.

^ i sort of mentioned that in my post

i think most people are talking about natural curls and enhancing it

i personally dont like shiny patent leather type looking shoes, i think they look stupid on me but i'm really picky about shoes

i do love me some sling back peep toed heels but i have only found one pair i like on my feet from nine west. i should have bought them in every color!

i'm still on the fence about sling backs. i have one pair i really really really like but i never wear them because they don't go with much.

i don't know i'm just picky

i have some cute patent leather kenneth coles...i was on the fence about those too for awhile but they were on sale so i got them and then started wearing them like 500 years later.

well- i'm got the shoes
Original price- $90 + tax
Paid- $25 including tax

I don't wear heels often... but I needed something to spruce up the only dress I could find that might be appropriate for this weekend. Hopefully it'll be ok. I just think they're cute & I can actually walk in them (or I think I can ). I'm going for the whole bright not exactly matching shoes is in style thing-- I tried them on with the dress in the store and everyone that saw me debating said they looked great with it... so I hope they weren't lying to me!!

Unless they worked there, they were probably telling the truth. As for the shoes, as long as you like them then that is all that matters!

I have two things to mention:

1) I saw these in the shoe store on King street when I was walking to the salon:

I must have them. sooo cute.

and 2) I just got bangs

also, I wore these this weekend for the wedding reception:

I've had them for some time, but never had an occasion to wear them. ZOMG so cute on and actually not horribly uncomfortable. My feet didn't hurt until after 4 or 5 hours being on my feet.

jill's beach has an unlimited package thats 29.95 a month. that is just for the basic beds but they are pretty nice. there are 4 locations in raleigh, 3 of them are right near nc state. jill is really nice and she also works with the susan g komen foundation, which i think is pretty cool.

Have any of you ever heard of RueLaLa.com? It's an online boutique store that has a different designer every few days - I just got a Kate Spade hobo bag and sunglasses for <$100!

It's an invitation-only website, so if you want to be a member, PM me with your email address! This week they have Fendi and Salvatore Ferrigamo and the bags look amaaaazing!
