Anderson is the third highest scoring player in fantasy. Griese isn't even in the top 25. I wonder which one I would choose. 10/23/2007 9:16:45 AM |
Prawn Star All American 7643 Posts user info edit post |
Griese has more points since he has been starting, and he is playing a weak pass D. Of course, St Louis's defense isn't anything special either.
Griese's 4 games starting: 1202 yards, 8 TD's 6 Ints. Andersons last 4 games: 984 yards, 8 TD's 6 Ints 2 rushing TD's.

In my quest to minimize the conflicts of having 2 fantasy teams and inevitably playing a player in one league and playing against him in another league, I present you my updated rosters for each league:
TEAM 1 - TEAM 2 Marc Bulger - Drew Brees David Garrard - David Garrard Steven Jackson - Steven Jackson Earnest Graham - Earnest Graham Jamal Lewis - Jamal Lewis Edgerrin James - Maurice Jones Drew Chad Johnson - Chad Johnson Brandon Marshall - Brandon Marshall Dwayne Bowe - Dwayne Bowe Andre Johnson - Roy Williams Santonio Holmes - (1 less player on this team) Kellen Winslow - Kellen Winslow Jeff Reed - Robbie Gould Baltimore - Baltimore Green Bay - Buffalo
I need to trade Roy for Andre or vice versa in one league...maybe Edge for MJD 10/23/2007 11:14:34 AM |

Ahhh, yes, the smell of napalm in the morning. Another victory, 7-0, and the only 6-1 team has their loss to me, so I have two games on everyone. I love Peyton Manning. His 35 yard TD to Dallas Clark at the end when the Colts just needed to run the clock out gave me the points I needed to go over the top.
I play the only 0-7 team in the league this week, so the irony of ironies would be if I lost.

So who is this week's Kenny Watson? Or will he be a strong performer again?
I haven't heard much about Rudi Johnson or Andre Johnson yet.
Also since Romo is on bye this week which of these are my best options this week:
Griese vs DET Cutler vs GB Pennington vs BUF Yikes go back and get Bulger vs CLE 10/23/2007 5:15:20 PM |

I'm actually taking a flyer on Bulger (FINGERS CROSSED) but partially since Garrard is expected to miss 1 game
I would NOT pick up Pennington as there is a good chance Kellen Clemmens will get the start 10/23/2007 5:19:14 PM |
packboozie All American 17452 Posts user info edit post |
Cutler is throwing too many INTs. Pennington may not start. Will Griese keep it up?
Damn Bulger may be the best bet and he is playing a weak Browns defense. 10/23/2007 5:21:18 PM |

I'm hoping the return of S-Jackson will at least give Bulger a little more time...their offensive line is still horrible though
Griese has a chance...Detroit's defense has caused some turnovers this year but they've given up a lot of yards and points as well 10/23/2007 5:22:19 PM |

I've been offered this trade...
Give P Manning
For Hasselback & Roy Williams.
I traded for Manning earlier this season and gave up Westbrook and Bulger for Manning and McCalister. We were both slightly burned by this trade but I think i made out in the long run unless Bulger comes back the next weeks realy healthy.
I think this is a good trde since I am weak at WR and Hasselback is adequate enough at QB for most weeks. Thoughts? 10/24/2007 11:08:34 AM |

^^i wouldn't. who will get steve smith the ball from here on out... vinny or carr? anderson is having one of those freak seasons.
^i would probably keep manning. i have hasselbeck as well but he has taken a back seat to d. anderson. hasselbeck is just boring as hell to me.
start 3: ocho cinco brandon marshall calvin johnson james jones joey galloway marty booker
start 2: marshawn lynch jamal lewis (hurt?) steven jackson (going to play?) jason wright (start if lewis and jackson are doubtful?) michael bennett warrick dunn (bye)
thoughts? i'm mainly concerned about who do i start as my #2 RB between lewis, jackson, and wright. i'm pretty sure it will come down to a game time decision but didn't know what ya'll thought. do my wr's look alright? brandon marshall or james jones/galloway?

I think Hasselback has been bad the last few weeks because his WRs been hurt but I think they are coming back soon.
I also have Griese who suprisingly been playing really well. I had D Anderson for awhile but I was stupid and dropped him thinking it was a fluke and he has performed really well. 10/24/2007 11:35:27 AM |

So here's the deal:
Romo is on a bye and Carson Palmer is my quarterback. The guy I'm playing is starting Chad Johnson and Houshmandzadeh at WR.
Should I pick up Brian Griese to start since almost any points Palmer gets me will go to one of those two guys, or should I stick with Palmer since I know I'll keep pace if Johnson and Houshmandzadeh score points?
Also, is it worth starting either Maroney or Stephen Jackson over Marshawn Lynch and LenDale White? Lynch and White were money for me last week whereas Jackson and Maroney are coming off injuries, obviously. 10/24/2007 2:49:27 PM |

stick with carson. he should have it rough against a good steelers defense, but you'd essentially be negating two of your opponents better weapons. i'd go that route and leave it to the rest of my guys to beat the rest of his.10/24/2007 3:18:17 PM |

his was ridiculous. Id rather someone just say no that send me some insulting shit like that

ok, edge is an injury waiting to happen so although that may be a slight downgrade now, with jones-drew coming on strong lately and fred taylor likely to get injured as well, he would look stupid as hell in a few weeks for that
wide receivers = push? lulz... harrison is on the second best offense in the league. although he hasn't had a breakout game so far this year and was injured for a few, it is pretty much inevitable that he will blow up soon.
while i love torry holt to death, the rams offense is absolutely terrible.
TEs are about a push.
I mean, I can see why someone might take your offer, but you are a smart guy and you know as well as I do that if you look past this next week your side of the deal was far better than his. That said, his offer was pretty retarded. I woulda just said no. 10/24/2007 5:28:00 PM |
