At the risk of trying to have actual discussion in the thread, is it just me or is the current crop of mid-major coaches kind of underwhelming? I mean, it seems like the options are Gregg Marshall, a guy who runs the Princeton offense*, and several guys who have only been a head coach for two years.

*Which I don't really have an issue with, I'm just not sure I feel like hearing everyone whine about it after every loss.

He's making $1.6 mil now. If the $3.2 offer is real, it would be pretty outrageous for Arizona to double him up, though it might not take that much for him to stay. And if he makes the final four, it might not be that outrageous after all.

while this win was huge, he shouldnt hae even been there, amiright? had it not been for some idiotic play at the free throw line..

i mean, it's a precarious position. 3.2MM is some coin... but 1.6 isnt bad, and you just took a team to the elite 8 in two-three years. his bonuses can put him at 2.7ish, if he wins the fuck out. an extra 1.6MM/yr is fairly life changing. especially if his contract gives him bonuses similar to arizona's.

yes, he has a foundation in arizona, but he also has straight up recruiting power after this last game. "LOOK WHAT I DID. WE CAN DO THAT SHIT IN RALEIGH"
