I agree that home ice would help against ottowa

but i think i would rather play the Habs, then the Tampa Bay right now

The Tampa matchup is far from perfect, but unlike Montreal, the Bolts have no goaltending. Come playoff time, the lockdown steps up quite a bit, and as I said before, I'm very concerned about having to face Huet with the way he's playing.

You need a passport to cross the border now.

Cristobal Huet needs like three of 'em.

Is it just me, or would it be completely amazing if we had our own version of the Winnipeg white out, but with bathrobes?

I've got my tailgating gear ready. And for all you who are typing up something like "well I'LL be playing street hockey" you can go ahead and stfu and gtfo. My blades haven't fit in like 5 years.

^they lost in OT, so we're actually 2 pts. behind them...but a win tomorrow night will put us back in 1st. Honestly, if Atlanta makes it in as the 8th seed (they're now behind TB by only 2 pts.), I'd rather be 2nd.

correct me if i am wrong...

if we take 2 pts tonight, and sens take 0 pts tonight, it means we clinch the east.....(we would have a 2 pt lead and both have one game left)

that could be cool

That would be correct. With the Flyers beating the Rangers today, the Atlantic division is a 3 team race. The Rangers are still in first place, but the Flyers control their own destiny, and the Devils suddenly have a shot (Philadelphia and New Jersey play tomorrow).

well....the rangers only now have one game left...so id say its a 2 team race, realistically.

Just like SOG, numbers don't matter. The winner is what counts.

I'll direct your attention to one Grant Fuhr. Some nights he would let in seven goals, but those were the nights when the Oilers scored eight. He made the saves when it counted, just like Gerber did last night.

He never saw that one, it doesn't count.

Soft or not, it doesn't matter. It doesn't change what I said. Goaltenders that use a mix of positioning and reflexes (Gerber, Roy, Turco) are prone to giving up soft goals. That combination is also what allows them to make saves that more strictly system-based goaltenders don't make.
