i read that in the world market, nintendos sold about twice as many wiis as the ps3.

of course the ps3 costs twice as much but its obvious nintendo won since the real sales come with the software.

This morning at the BestBuy across from Triangle Town Center they started handing out vouchers around 10:15. They you could go down to Panera or the car to warm up, and they opened doors around 10:50. I got there around 9:50 and got a voucher, and they had several left after me, but I was probably 30 back in line. If they had the 20 only I wouldn't have gotten one.

ok i found drivers to use it as a mouse, but they dont use the ir triangulation so it looks pretty annoying.

has anybody else played around with the photo channel? it has MS-paintish editing, nothing spectacular. there are some weird controls on it though, like making the add in items (the sunglasses, lips, sparkles, etc.) get bigger or smaller...it seems like when i move the wiimote closer, they get bigger, and smaller when i move the wiimote back, but it wasn't very consistent, so i don't know

...and also, the cat running across the top in some of the menus is halfway informative, but mostly annoying

all-in-all, it's somewhat entertaining and you can send the photos to other wii's...there's the potential for more use in the future, at least

this post will make absolutely no sense unless you've spent some time in the photochannel, just so you know

i don't know about consoles specifically, but trucks are usually unloaded + shelves stocked overnight. So 1st thing in the AM would be the best time to check.

It depends on the store. I know that Toy's R Us receives them around 10:00PM-Midnight, then sells them in the morning (even if they arrive when the store is still open). Stores that are open 24 hours (Wal-Mart) may just sell them immediately when they come in.

The pandemonia will continue until these assholes can no longer sell Wiis on eBay for $400 +S&H and the campouts for vouchers end. People like me who just want to show up whenever and buy one are probably gonna have to wait until at least Mid February until something like that can happen.

I still think alot of these EB employess & other video game store cronies are hoarding the Wiis they get and selling them on the side for extra profit. However they are not the problem, it is the people paying $400 +S&H still that are....

picked one up at target yesterday morning, we got #12 of 12. went to best buy to get some games and a remote (had a gift card) and there were like 100 people lined up still, even though the store had opened. they wouldnt sell me a remote cause "it wouldn't be fair to the people waiting outside"

what was funny was that we went to a gamestop down the street afterwards and 5 people were waiting for it to open and the manager came out right then and said he had 9 Wiis.

Super Paper Mario is coming in April. February looks kind of dry (I'm passing on Wii Play), but Mario Party 8 and Sonic means there won't be much of a drought of Wii games. Much better than the GC, which IIRC didn't have a worthwhile title after the holidays until the Resident Evil remake in May.
