On Peter's scar in the future:

Assuming Peter has to remember someone in order to use their power. Which is what he explained as his technique for using a power. Now maybe Nathan/Bennet had the Haitian wipe Claire from Peter's mind. Making him unable to use her power. Remember how startled Bennet was when Ando mentioned that Claire existed.

Parkman evil?:

Another idea that came to me was what if Parkman knows that Sylar is posing as the president. I could see him wanting vengence since he would know for sure that Sylar wasn't the bomb (reading his mind). Only reason I can see Sylar letting him live though is he realizes he needs at least some subordinates, can't be everywhere at once....at least not until he eats Hiro's brain.

Also I don't know that it is possible for sylar to steal the Hatian's power...since he would need to use powers in order to steal it....and the Haitian blocks them. Of course I guess he could do it the old fashioned way and hit him in the head with a rock...like he did to the telekensis guy.

Yes, I know Bennet knew she was alive...I'm suggesting that he had the Haitan wipe Peter and anyone elses mind that might have known about her.

"actually i would think that whether or not he could read Sylar's mind would depend on how Candice's powers worked. It's obvious up to now that her illusions are more than just visual. When this illusion is created the person she imitates sounds and acts just like the person she is supposed to be. My guess is that her power goes deep into the mind of her "victim" to the point where even Parkman might not even be able to tell whats really going on."

but if Candice's power is just mental then why would Sylar appear to be Nathan on TV?

^good point...dunno, i was mostly basing that theory off of her abilities to change her surroundings as well as herself. It would be some trick if she could literally change the physical objects in a room (i.e. Samone's body when the cops came), and then change them back. I had thought it was just a perception thing where she tricks your mind into seeing something thats not really there. Maybe its some kind of illusion "bubble" that extends out a certain distance around her and anything that looks into it will see what she wants them to see. Since the camera is recording the bubble it records Nathan rather than Sylar.

Check this thought process out:

In the "future" that Hiro and Ando go to, Claire is dead. This is the "original future" where the explosion happens. Hiro, through a series of time traveling jumps constructs the timeline and realizes that in order to "save the world" Claire must be saved. He goes back and tells Peter to save her thus changing the past.

Hiro goes back to his "original future."

Suddenly Past Hiro and Ando show up in "original future." When they meet Bennett and tell him Claire has been saved "original future" shifts and Bennett is flooded with new memories. And now knows where Claire is, etc.

Meanwhile, in "original future" Peter never met Claire and hence, never received her power, thus explaining the scar.

Peter doesn't immediately understand how to use the powers, while Sylar gains almost instant mastery of them.

this is what I was thinking at first, but now I'm not so sure I agree

I think whatever we saw in the present up until teleporting is what affected the future that Hiro and Ando went to

Claire going into hiding could mean Peter lost his "connection" of how she made him feel, which would make him unable to use the power...maybe he liked the scar and wanted to be reminded of something, or maybe he was scarred by a "magical sword" that would cause no regeneration

there are a myriad of possibilities

When Peter was being trained by the invisible man and fell onto the car trying to fly he healed without Claire being anywhere near him - just by thinking about her before he hit the ground.

It sounded like "The Final Two Chapters Next Monday" to me.

According to wikipedia, it's the next 2 weeks.

ALSO:

In a recent interview with E! Online Tim Kring said: "There are plans to add one new, one big character next season." Tim also said that those Heroes who remain are likely to stick around, 'cause he's changed his MO "I thought Heroes was going to have an ever-shifting cast," he says, "but the cast hit in such big ways that now the challenge is to figure out how to use them all and still fold in a couple of new people, because I still think that the origin stories are the most fascinating, in some ways."

I don't think he stopped time. I think he heard Hiro coming and used telekinesis to "freeze" his mom. Meanwhile, Sylar is standing perfectly still to make Hiro think he stopped time.

hiro's power can allow him to stop time but keep time running for some things (like when he takes ando along). perhaps touching sylar with his sword (connected for a moment) brought sylar out of stopped time a fraction before the rest. But as was stated, sylar shouldn't know what hiro's power is so he wouldn't have made it look like he stopped time. and do you really think that hiro can't tell when he's stopped time and when he hasn't? he's not that green anymore

So...Sylar calling Mohinder b/c he's worried about killing innocent people. Sounds like there may be a soul in there somewhere. I wonder if he hadn't gone to see Mom if he may have gone down a path to stop the bomb as well. Just a thought of mine, no need to explore it.

And the little girl saying the "Boogieman" sees your soul and eats your brains...so he does zombie them. Gross It could just be a child's imagination, but she seems to know what's up. Though as cute as she may be, I don't really have a warm fuzzy feeling about her.

the only one that can stop sylar my ass

they are manipulating mohinder to enabling the "Manhattan" device (or whatever codename Bennett gave her). Now Linderman will be able to find anyone, anywhere, anytime. Plus Linderman doesn't want to stop Sylar, he's put the events in motion. How can Mohinder be so naive?

And the Mystique chick is super hot.

^^The "Walker" project (aka Molly WALKER)

something I noticed, not sure if I'm reading too much into this or not...

Future (5 years gone): Sylar is angry and yells at Peter for being blamed as being the bomb when it was really Peter

Present (the hard part): After killing his mom Sylar now seems to think it's a good idea to blow up New York and he thinks he's the bomb

so has time been altered again to where Sylar will be the bomb, or is it all still up in the air

I think it is still up in the air.

I wouldn't get caught up in the whole timeline shift theories. It's easier to think of it as a single timeline.

Was anyone else a bit underwhelmed with the little girl's power? So she can find anyone, anywhere in the world. Great. Is that really what is needed to stop Syler? I wasn't aware that the main hurdle to overcome was finding him. I figured it was, you know…. killing him, because he has so many powers.

Btw - did I miss something somewhere where Syler got super-freezing power or something? Did that happen "off-stage", or was there someone with freezing power at some point?

The freezing I think came from the little girls parents. When Parkman went to the crime scene where he found her one of them was frozen and the other was fucked up by the telekinesis if i remember.

^^^ I don't think time is being altered, I think both Peter and Sylar are confused about the paintings and think they are destined to be the bomb.

V you beat me to it

apparently he's had it since killing Molly's parents...he used it in one of the comics

now, it just seems we have two people parading around thinking they're the bomb, where as before it was just Peter who thought he was the bomb and Hiro (future) who thought it was Sylar
