Terry dies, we spend 4 weeks on it. Eric dies and we move on in 10 seconds. Seems about right.

TRUE DEATH FOR BRIAN BUCKNER!!!!

If Eric is truly dead...I. Am. Done.

AND if they have Pam save him I'm double done, bc Pam should lose her faerie blood too and while she's younger and will die slower, there's no fucking way she can dig him and her underground so he's saved. Pam can't fly so she can't fly him to a cave.

Aaaaaagh and this season had some really good high moments too. This ending was fucked.

^Apparently Pam can fly. No way Eric is dead though. If he were to die it would be a lot more epic than just getting burned in the sun while out in the middle of nowhere. I remember an episode in the first season when Bill got caught outside in the daytime and he just dug himself into the dirt and hung out there until sunset (then he jumped out, scared the hell out of Sookie, then fucked her then and there...). I'd imagine Eric could bury himself in the dirt or at least run into the shadow of one of the mountains.

Did she fly off? Hahaha

I took that moment she and Tara were talking to let the dog out. Oops

There's no way Eric will die. I'm not sure why he didn't start digging immediately though, it's not like he went up immediately like Godric. Didn't Bill walk a bunch and bury himself in the ground during the daylight in season 1 or 2 to keep from burning?

Edit: Don't ask about the music or why this exists. but here's video of Bill leaving his house during the day and walking relatively far, relatively easily before Sam and Sookie find him.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TU3xCYGQmyU

Eric is older and would burn quicker. But if Bill could do that, I'd think Erick could start digging down into the snow/ice.

And what happens if they move to shade?

What I don't understand is why they weren't worried about it wearing it off. This isn't the first time they've had a vampire drink fairy blood, right? Haven't Bill, Eric, and Russel Edgington all had fairy blood on the show? The ability to stay in the sun usually lasts a couple of hours maybe. Why would Erick think he had time to go sit out in the sun like that without worrying about it wearing off?

I don't get it... well, other than them making up/changing the rules as they go.

^I pretty much agree with all of that. There's no way Eric is dead. I've got to say though, when they showed him nude sunbathing in Sweden I couldn't help but laugh out loud. I don't think hiding in the shade (at least in the environment shown) would do much good, since the snow reflexes UV rays everywhere.

-I thought Sookie ending up with Alcide was ridiculously easily to predict and a bit lame.
-Was anyone else happy when Warlow got all pissed off and tied up Sookie? "I know I said I would marry you, but why don't we try dating instead?"
-I'm a big fan of Victoria, that was a nice scene there towards the end Wonder what kind of character development we will see from her next season.
-Is Tara some kind of body builder IRL? What's up with her super butch build?

Eh, there were rumors before the season started that a "major" character would be leaving the show, and most presumed it would be Eric. The only reason I could see him not dying is because of how poorly that ending for such an important character to the series would be. Probably have some crap where Pam saves him somehow.

Also, what are the odds Tara's mom had Hep V and poisoned Tara when she fed on her?

Glad to see Grandpa showed up to take care of Warlow. Not sure why she thought he'd be a "good' guy when he killed all of the fae in the little tent place and looked like a monster in her little "vision" of him in the bathroom.

Let's throw an outdoor party when we know there are starving vampire packs roaming from town to town!

Some good scenes, some not so good scenes. Not a bad finale, but curious to see the previews for next season and see if Eric will be in them or not.

I know of the Eric rumors. All too well as I posted about it a page or two back still don't like it or how they will write him in to safety.

I also thought Tara's mom was probably infected with hep V. Guess we'll see next season.

Yes. Mostly because I hated how they made him out to be a bad guy all of last season and before we figured out who he was, and then it was like "no, it's all a big misunderstanding!"

I don't know how productive that would be for someone who is on fire and standing on a snow covered mountain top. Any productivity he made would have been in vain as the snow turned to water all around him.

Why don't these fools carry an emergency poncho sleeping bag? I'm pretty sure after a thousand years they could have come up with something.

And a correction to bill digging himself in to dirt in season 1. Sam and Sookie put bill in a freshly dug grave and covered him up. Bill was in so much pain and charred he was not able to dig himself in to the ground during daylight.

Yeah, that was a bit out of left field.

I can't believe I forgot to mention this...

Why the hell are there roaming groups of vampires feeding on humans?

It's been 6 months since everything went down. Could they really not get TruBlood back into production in 6 months (untainted)? If that were available, there's no reason there should be any need to feed on humans. Unless it's some sort of payback for the torture prison. But I was under the impression that it was because they didn't have anything else to feed on.

Did I miss something that explained this?

well hep V spread through humans, so vamps could keep getting it that way even if normal trublood came back.

idk if that explains anything my brain hurts

i think there are roaming groups of vampires KILLING people...not feeding on them

they are mad because they are infected and going to die so they are going to take down as many humans as possible beforehand

or maybe the long term effects of it Hep V make them more crazy and murderous than normal...such as the monsters in I Am Legend

Is there some reason Nora got Hep V and died within a day, but others are getting it and it's taking them months and months to die?

also nora got one hell of a dose of hep v main lined into her bloodstream...

the others have drank a diluted version either through trublood or by feeding from an infected human

This is probably for the best.

Also, I was so happy at the end of the finale when Alcide gave Bill some attitude and Bill was like "seriously", and Alcide backed down. As much as they hyped up the warewolves originally, they were never a threat to any of the vampires one on one. It was nice to see that sort of acknowledged.

I'm not upset about this. Shows can run indefinitely or else they go to shit (and some people this series already has gone to shit). Still I'm pissed that they're just doing a 10 episode run. Weak!

I'm kicking myself for getting into this show back in the beginning.

What a shitty show. Talk about a drop off from last week's GOT finale.

Can't wait for BE in the fall.

If she's really dead that's the biggest wet fart of a tv death I've ever seen. I felt nothing. Having that happen 4 seconds into a premier after a year long break is just silly.

^In theory the guy could have just lit the house on fire and waited for her to come out.

I really thought the opening "battle" and seeing several regulars being taken was going to be there cop-out to "we didn't want to pay several of the regulars, so we're just going to write them off the show in one big shot." Haha, glad that isn't the way they went, but for a minute or two I really thought they were going that route, especially after "she" bit the dust in such a lackluster manner.

Nope, we didn't.

But i think it was her and her mom did it.

Also, for the hep V vamps to have taken over fangtasia there was a strong lacking of Ginger. I hope she's okay. Best screamer on TV.

^Would make sense, seemed like Tara was smacking that other vampire around, so seemed odd they'd just cut back and she'd be gone.

Also would make sense why her mom is hallucinating and seeing visions of her.

^Agreed. Even though Tara was a universally disliked character she was still a major one and I would have liked to see her death regardless of who killed her.
