^^Percy has been on fire because he got to move back to his slot position with Moss there. Now, who knows. He might revert back to pre-Moss numbers. I think Welker will be much better in the long run
How do you guys think Moss is going to do in Tennessee? Can't decide if I should try one last time to trade him or hang on to him and give him a shot 11/4/2010 10:14:40 PM |

Offers still rolling in...the Welker for Greene/Harvin is still on the table, and just got this one.
I give: Harvin/Blount I get: Nicks/Green-Ellis
my wrs: Hines Ward, Percy Harvin, Steve Smith (car), Randy Moss my rbs: Chris Johnson, Rashard Mendenhall, Jamal Charles, DeAngelo Williams, Shon Greene, and Blount.
thoughts?
Also, Giants def vs. Sea(Whitehurst starting) or Vikings def vs. Ari (Anderson Starting) 11/5/2010 10:16:47 AM |

I think that's a lateral trade. Blount a slightly better RB, Nicks a slightly better WR, since you're pretty good at RB, it may be worth it to have Nicks as a WR1
In terms of defense, I'd probably go with Giants, but that's a close one too.

And Johnny Knox (@Buf) or Hines Ward (@Cin)
Panthro any advice on this one?

It's so funny nobody likes Matt Forte or Johnny Knox against the Bills. I'd imagine they'd have big games against the Bills this week.
Bills - 0-7 Bears - 4-3
Bills have allowed 30+ points per game in 5 of their last 7 games. And ranked 32nd in rushing defense. I don't get it. Bears aren't that great, but this should be an easy win. Granted the Bills picked up Merriman and almost beat KC & Baltimore, but still.

I know he's not living up to the hype and he's getting less carries but should I pick him up? If so, I'd need to drop one:
Ronnie Brown Brandon Jackson Ryan Torain who is also questionable

I'd probably go with James Jones out of those 3. Driver is battling injury and the Cowboys are atrocious.
I was offered Dustin Keller for L. Blount. I'm already stacked at RB and have Tamme for my TE. Keller had a great start to the season, but hasn't played well his last three games. Thoughts?

Ha. Well, stacked may be overstating it. I have Arian Foster, LT, Shonn Greene, Moreno, and Blount. I'm not sitting Foster for the rest of the season and would be hard pressed to start anyone other than LT. 11/6/2010 9:13:57 AM |

I'm hurting on WR. He has been starting Felix Jones and Brandon Jackson, so his RB situation is pretty awful. Ideally, I'd like to get Brandon Lloyd or Miles Austin out him, but he seems deadset against it, even if I cough up a lesser WR in addition to Blount. 11/6/2010 9:21:44 AM |

who would you start this week next to Ray Rice? We get 0.5ppr, and 1pt per 20 rushing/receiving yards and 0.1 point per rushing attempt
Beanie Wells @ Minn Cedric Benson vs. Pitt Donald Brown @ Philly
brutal matchups for all 3 options. Beanie's allergic reaction in his knee is cleared up, but he'll probably surrender some carries to Hightower and Stephens-Howling, I'm also starting Minnesota's defense so its kinda counter-productive to start an RB playing against them.
Benson is the main man in Cincy, but Pittsburgh's defense is the toughest matchup out of all 3, plus Cincy might be playing from behind all game and will abandon the run.
Donald Brown is interesting with Addai AND Mike Hart out this week. His only backup will be Javarris James (whoever that is), so he should get plenty of looks this week. He just hasnt been effective at all recently, so he's hard to trust. 11/6/2010 10:53:04 AM |
akaseinfeld All American 1608 Posts user info edit post |
^ I would go either Benson or Wells, and depending on Wells knee, maybe lean heavier towards Benson.
More options for waiver wr pickup:
Robert Meachem vs. CAR James Jones vs. DAL Heyward-Bey vs KC Brandon Tate vs. CLE Devin Hester vs. BUF Massaquoi vs. NE
Thoughts?
Also, out of the WR listed, and Deon Branch(just placed on waiver wire, can be picked up Nov. 6th), who would have more upside for the rest of the year as a 4th WR? 11/6/2010 11:40:19 AM |

^do you get return yards? If so, Tate is a good call as a constant returner and the deep threat. Branch is pretty good, but he is banged up and I don't know what kind of injury it is so I can't say if it will be a season long thing

johnny knox (@Buff) or Josh Cribbs (NE)
return yards count which is why that is even a question

I asked earlier and got no response, so I will ask again:
Pick 3, PPR and Return yards count:
Steve Smith (Car) v NO Brandon Tate @ Cle Josh Cribbs v NE Johnny Knox @ Buff Jacoby Jones v SD
all my other "good" receivers are hurt (and dropped) or on Bye... with steven jackson on bye, a shit defense, and Olsen continually shitting the bed (why did clark have to go an get hurt?) and marcedes lewis on bye too, I need some production out of my WR's today. HALP!
note: just saw that Breaston is available on waivers- should I pick him up and start him over anyone?
--------------------------------------------------------
to Wahoowa: I like Orton a lot more than Shaub right now (he is the 3rd highest producing QB right now). It sucks you are giving up a marquee receiver, but colston really has done squat this year, and he is banged up (I have him in another league and always contemplate benching him... I just can't bring myself to do it) and you are good on RB's... I'd do it

^ thanks for the feedback on the trade. I think its a pretty even trade and it will help me alot more than Colston and Blount will.
As for your situation I would stay away from any Cardinals receiver except Fitz (he can pretty much get points on his own with his power and speed) and your current WR are going to be the same, if not better, than Breaston.
Im starting Knox for sure. A bit of a gamble since his game is the big play..not the short yardage 3rd down WR, but a Martz offense will definitely air it out so there is a good chance youll get some points against Buf.
You have to start Smith simply because he is the focal point of the offense and will get multiple looks his way. Moore has been throwing to him consistently (even when he shouldnt).
Out of Tate, Cribbs, and Jones, I like Jones simply because the game should be a shootout and both QBs will be airing it out. There is also the chance Andre could tweak his ankle and have to quit the game and Jones will take over the WR2 spot. Tate has been spotty and inconsistent as well as Cribbs. 11/7/2010 9:05:37 AM |

I'm not huge on any of those receivers though... you know that those running backs are going to at least get some touches (can't say the same for the receivers). I am never one to say start both backs from a team, but I owuldn't know which wr to throw into the flex either
--------------------------------------------------------
My WR situation just changed a little bit- I picked up sidney rice and dropped Jacoby Jones (I couldn't believe he was still on the waiver list). Anyway, as for today, it is just down to
Steve Smith (Car) v NO Brandon Tate @ Cle Josh Cribbs v NE Johnny Knox @ Buff
where return yards count, and is a PPR league. I'm leaning towards Smith, Tate, and Knox, but cribbs is always a wildcard. It will be nice to have Rice back (if he can perform!) 11/7/2010 9:48:38 AM |

Yeah, but if there was ever a game for Matthews to break out, this could be it against Houston. They definitely WANT Matthews to be the guy.

Pierre Garcon @ Philly Patrick Crayton @ Hou
I have Garcon penciled in now, even though Wayne, Collie and Tamme will steal some of his looks. Crayton will probably be the #1 WR and will be battling a hurt Antonio Gates for the most receptions...
also,
Jay Cutler @ Buff Matt Stafford vs. NYJ Brett Favre ys. Ari Chad Henne @ Balt Jon Kitna @ GB Carson Palmer vs. Pitt
