i had the red lights of death, sent off and got it back.

2 months later the xbox will stop playing the game (or movie), go back to the dashboard, and the middle green light flashes. then if i try to open the drive, it opens an inch and closes again.

anyone have this problem?

however since they just opened the billion dollar repair floodgates, i could see it taking a month or so...i seriously doubt the turnaround time will be quicker since it would seem a lot more people are sending theres back now that its free...i hope i'm wrong though

any way possible to hook it up wired...get it set up with a wired connection...then once all teh configuration is good to go try the wireless? dunno if thats feasible based on where your modem is in relation to your box...i just ran a 50' cat5 cable under the carpet to the living room myself

I had it running wired through my router and it worked fine. I would just rather have it wireless because I don't feel like running the cable and i would have no way to hide it.

I spent an hour on the phone with an indian lady last week trying to make it happen. She was useless.

I bought Gears of War from gamefly, and it was a little bit scratched also. Plus the middle clear plastic area around the hole is cracked. It works fine though, so I didn't raise hell about it or anything.

btw joshua, wireless sux balls everytime i tried it. i used to use it and it would work for a month or two then crap out for weeks on end. when it was working, call of duty wouldnt even let me connect to the multiplayer servers. guess my latency was too high. i gave up and now use a 50' cable with few complaints.

^^ Yeah, I heard the same complaints, but I was mostly hoping to use it for downloadable content.

Basically roadrunner doesn't work out of the same jack as the tv if I put a splitter on it - I don't know if my wiring is fickle or what. I just redid my entire condo and I really don't want an ethernet cable stuffed in the corner. Basically it comes down to me being a homo and putting interior design ahead of gaming.
