^^^^^I agree, it's easier to get into show and the characters and the overall plot by looking at one timeline and thinking of last weeks show as just a glimpse and a possiblity and not overanalyzing it.
^^^^With the Hatian, he's pretty easy to take down (like they did in Odessa), so if they know where he is, they can ambush him.

they are manipulating mohinder to enabling the "Manhattan" device (or whatever codename Bennett gave her). Now Linderman will be able to find anyone, anywhere, anytime. Plus Linderman doesn't want to stop Sylar, he's put the events in motion. How can Mohinder be so naive? " |

I thought seeing into Sylar's soul, that he just wants to be "special" and not kill just random people was a good character development. Now however we see that he is trying to prove himself the "most special" one of them all (ala the Future Episode)
I think the plot holes or easiness of wrapping the plot up would make for a less dramatic show. Yeah I agree, just tell Peter not to go near Ted. Thats what Claire said. However how would that make a good drama?
I think the "stupidity" of some of the characters shows human flaws in people with uncanny abilities. I think that does the show more justice than less.
Molly's power, Linderman's plans, blowing up the Center, the election, and Sylar, all make us wanting more, wanting to see how this ends up and comes together.
And thus is makes a good drama series. 5/8/2007 10:31:20 AM |

wouldn't it be fucked up if daddy beat mommy and sylar (or mommy) had to kill daddy? (not that I think that with only 2 episodes left that they'd get into that but it may come up if sylar makes it to next season) 5/8/2007 12:05:39 PM |

^If Sylar's daddy had been abusive, I doubt Sylar would be so surprised and quick to defend the 'clock' when his mom called it a piece of junk that she should've thrown away. 5/8/2007 3:13:27 PM |

I guess so but still there is got to be some reason why mommy hated daddy (maybe because he was just a guy that fixes watches all his life, or maybe he killed himself) 5/8/2007 3:21:17 PM |

based on her seeming obsession with Sylar being "special" that's probably on point.5/8/2007 3:23:38 PM |

I think the simple answer is good ole dad was happy living the simple life even though mom hoped for more...and like many parents wish the best for their children, she took it to the extreme and, with Sylar's personality, created a monster. Dad could have either hit the road, or passed away...probably hit the road with the resentment she obviously had towards that "piece of junk"
I got a strong Norman Bates feeling about Sylar while he was cleaning up for Mother... 5/8/2007 3:26:45 PM |

so why doesn't linderman just "heal" the little girl with the location power? 5/8/2007 3:36:53 PM |

It was a way to hook Mohinder into their organization. Now they can manipulate him further. Linderman may also be trying to keep his power under the radar.

is it possible that powers get weakened with age, I mean whom else have we seen use their powers that is real old other than Linderman (and he just healed a plant, not a person or even a pet), maybe he can't because he's too old

bttt for tomorrow's episode. and I got a peice of information and a question. The blonde FBI agent is gonna be back (Audrey Hanson) and she is also gonna be in the last episode. I want to know why the hell Isaac is still on the billing, do we really need him to lay on the ground, couldn't they just CGI the body or something? 5/13/2007 10:35:17 AM |

That actually makes sense, except hes too young to be the original. I'm interested to see Peter's mom and Hiro's dads powers, since they seem to be the only two other parents the shows focused on. Hiro's dad is back next episode, looks like we might see his then. 5/13/2007 6:21:47 PM |

yea, i realize he's too young to be the original, but if they're trying to pass this off as "the next step in evolution" maybe they want us to think others can possibly mutate in a similar fashion? *shrug* told you it was a stretch
and i'm right there with you on wanting to see their powers.

NBC has announced a Heroes spinoff called Heroes: Origins. Not sure about the details but it will be about 8 episodes.
Quote : | "To stretch the normal 22-episode season of "Heroes," which faltered after its long hiatus this year, NBC will add "Heroes: Origins." The spinoff will introduce a new character each week, and viewers will select which one stays for the following season. The two series will have 30 new episodes combined." |

"which faltered after its long hiatus this year" did it? have ratings dropped off after the break?
NBC has nobody to blame except themselves, if that's true. why the hell would you build a TV show over 6 months nearly to a frenzied climax, then take almost 2 months off from showing new episodes..... 5/14/2007 11:35:28 AM |

Ratings for Heroes did drop after the hiatus. I think every show that did take a long break dropped in ratings (Lost included). Of course those ratings are hard to judge because people have started watching TV in differenet ways (internet viewings I don't think are taken into account yet, a DVR view is only counted if watched within two days of the airdate, too many fucking stations to begin with etc.). The major networks are trying to figure out how to keep as many viewers as possible now (Lost won't be interrupted at all and I'm not sure how these Origins episodes will work but I doubt there will be a break in the action).

my guess for the reason they took a break is they needed to finish filming shit and working the story out. i still think that whole thing with "we know you have theories, we want to hear them" was a way for them to get story ideas. 5/14/2007 12:18:09 PM |

I'm not so bothered by the hiatus if it means what we get when we get it is quality.
I'm leery of the Heroes:Origins idea. The show already reveals character origins in a decent storytelling fashion. The spinoff idea sounds like NBC trying to fuck shit up by milking their best cow a bit harder. My worst fears are that it may prove a distraction for the writers, diluting their attention to the main story and weakening the whole series.
The idea of viewers voting for the hero that stays sounds really lame too. I think the writers have proven that they are not as clueless as George Lucas, and so don't need the sterling leadership of America's audience base - which for all we know could consist mostly of the American Idol types who get a kick out of watching Sanjaya onscreen. 5/14/2007 1:46:50 PM |
