I go out almost every night. It's very straining on relationships for friends, and significant others. I'm well beyond college age, but yet continue to get black out drunk at least twice a week. In the last two weeks, I've passed out at some random place and not made it in to work until 4+ hours late twice. I like to think no one noticed, but I'm sure that's not the case. I have a very, very good job, lots of influence, and a position that is quite personally fulfilling. But every day, I'd rather be getting fucked up. If i lay off the drinking, I get very sick very quickly. It's scary. In a weird catch 22, I've been on a big health kick recently. So, obviously, going through 75+ beers a week doesn't help with that. So now, in an even dumber move, I've gone back to smoking a lot of pot again, which, I haven't really done since HS/fresh/sophomore years of college. Initially I thought I'd just be able to get a buzz, and then not drink, thinking I just preferred not to be sober. How it's turned out, is that I don't go out every night, my friends are wondering where I am, and I'm usually sitting on my couch drinking a few beers (instead of 12), but baked. I dont really want to go out, I'd rather smoke and play with playdoh. I'm just hoping for no random drug screen at work. I keep telling myself I'm cutting back, but I'm also a terrible liar."
