oh man....my mama just called me. her cousin (my 2nd cousin?) had a heart attack yesterday. he's got full blockage of one artery and crazy high cholesterol. but he's always been healthy as a horse, he's a body builder and all that. he's only 50. :-/

so i found this recipe for german chocolate cake. but you substitute the water with dark maple syrup and the oil with pumpkin pie mix. it sounds so interesting, i might have to make one tonight! if it turns out OK, i'll make one of those for the bake-off as well.

yeah no shit...but with an office having this kind of track record with someone getting the axe every year after their retreat, i feel like it's only fitting. i'm not new enough, but i don't have the longevity like some of the other people here. i've made enough mistakes this year, and i'm
(admittedly) not producing like i was when i first started.

we'll see...but i don't have a good feeling.

and the fact that my boss called on the way back and spoke to the two paralegals that ocasionally do work for him, and not me--the one hired to work for him specifically--really bothers me.
