^I don't use an external drive anymore. at least not directly. I do have an external drive with all my media on it hooked up to my iMac. I then use Twonky Media on my iMac to run a media server that is both accessible from my xbox360 and my PS3. Its the smoothest running media server I have ever seen. No lag or streaming issues when it comes to wmv-HD or other hd formats. It streams all my photos, movies, tv shows, and music. I have no complaints with the software either...non that i've run into at least.

That is good news actually, that'll make that a pretty huge title when it drops. Sony can't get that here fast enough....nor I can't friggin wait til it does drop. I'm not really into stealth games and MGS has worn on me (didn't like MGS3) but that doesnt mean I wouldnt pick that one up day one.

Little Big Planet and Killzone 2 are expected to be out in September/October 2008. Long ways away.

I am really thinking about getting UT3, only I'm not sure I'd be able to play with you because I would be in the sixaxis servers (no keyboard and mouse).

I got one because I'm a gaming enthusiast and always get every console on the new iteration. It's my only form of escapism. Plus I wanted a quality movie player and it's showed it's worth in gold there. It's the best DVD playback I've ever seen, and the Bluray and HDMI connection is priceless on my 42" plasma.

Needles, the gaming just isnt quite there for me yet. PS3 is still young, and I expect 2008 to deliver or bust. Either way I still get my kicks out of it's movie capability. You cite Little Big Planet...which is a title I would CRAP myself over. I can't wait honestly. But that's a year's time so it's no use talking about it yet. Killzone 2 has alot of promise too, looks like PS3's Gears of War....but we'll see. I'd likely get FF13 even though I tired of JRPGs, for some reason I'm sure that one will be good.

To be honest, I have liked the bigger games to have come out, they've all been solid - but not that extra touch and nothing worth owning the game over. Unfortunately right now, I've only owned one game for the system (Warhawk) and I kept the jabra headset and sold the game cause I wasn't playing it b/c of HUGE surge of other titles to hit. I did think about buying UT3 just so I can have a game for the system. I didnt buy R/C or Uncharted because of replay value..but I think both are fine games.

If enough of you had UT3 with mouse/keyboard I'd get it just so I could take you to school.

thats because there are no games worth while on the console yet. Everything that might be worth something doesn't come out until 2008. And even then, off the top of my head I can think of 2 or 3 titles. The PS3 has a long way to go in the gaming department.

I just don't buy the no games argument...maybe the fact the exclusives have been a little thin to date, but if you're a dual console owner, that's your own problem. So far I have purchased and thuroughly enjoyed playing the following games:

And I have the 60GB model...so to replicate the wireless, HDMI, and high def I got for $600 bucks with a 360, I would have had to spend pretty much the same amount of money

name 1 title thats a big hit and that makes it ok to spend $400/$600 on a console just to play that game...much like GT 5 will be. There just simply aren't any out to date. Uncharted is about the best we've got on the PS3. I don't know why you people take it so personally. Its not like you developed the console. Besides, its still a fairly new console compared to the Xbox360 so its expected to not have a solid library until several years later. Xbox360 was the same way.

Goalie that's great that you have so many titles, no one is telling you that you made bad decisions - I mean whatever floats your boat is fine by me, we all have different tastes. I certainly dont care about this whole 'justifying the cost of the system thing'. Can't we move on from that argument?

Of the titles you listed that you own, only one interests me and that's GHIII. And I'd rather have that on the 360 SOLELY becuase of Live and Achievements. And before PS3 stalwarts roast me, just think about it for a second. To be frank, if they are the EXACT SAME TITLE - what is odd about me choosing it on the 360 cause I have 100 friends on my list that I'd like to either play with online, or I'd like to be online if they want to invite me to something, plus the acheivements are fun to get. You may not care about that, but I do. So please don't retort in kind. I'm not trolling here, it's my preference, and an honest one.

Your 2008 list has the same thing - Rock Band I'd definitely rather have on 360 cause I can play with friends online, same with Burnout Paradise, GTA IV is different because I want the exclusive 360 content additions. Unless PS3 offers something just a little extra that would otherwise be a complete lateral multi console release...not sure why I would go for the PS3 version since I own both consoles....

I will buy Little Big Planet, MGS4, and potentially Killzone 2 though.

I've had enough fun playing Calling All Cars during party's with friends etc. to make the cost of the PS3 worth it alone. You guys' arguments that there are no solid games worth buying the PS3 for is just ridiculous.

What makes any other console worth buying in your eyes? How about the 360? Gears of war to me is totally rad, but according to your logic is it "solid" enough to make the purchase worth it? What about Halo 3? Does that warrant purchasing the console? Mass Effect?

I don't understand your logic at all. You simply just use the higher price point and that is the only argument, but it is totally subjective as you don't take into account any of the functions that the PS3 does out of the box that the 360 cannot out of the box, or at all.

uncharted is a aventure platformer, it has elements of FPS games but is not solely a FPS.

halo - i personally think halo sucks, all 3 of them

resistance is probably my least favorite of the games that i have (i didnt buy it).

warhawk has fps aspects but is more of a flight / vehicle game, not a HEADSHOT! game...

have no idea about clank, never played it
