If I have a coupon for $ off a razor, then one for buy a razor and get shaving cream free, could I combine those? I'm guessing no but they are kind of for different items so maybe? At Lowes Foods.

You can because the money off coupon is for the razor and the buy razor get cream coupon is coded to be for the shaving cream

What is Lowes Foods' coupon policy? Do they double? I know HT and Kroger's since thats where I mainly go, but haven't been to Lowes yet

^ Double up to 99 cents just like HT.

Another random question: Aren't coupons for alcohol illegal in North Carolina? I know rebates are allowed, and I think maybe also coupons to save on something else with the purchase of an alcoholic beverage, but coupons like $1 off a bottle of wine I thought were prohibited. Am I wrong? Because Lowes has them in its circular this week.

^ yes and no. Click link below, go to page 37 and look at section 04 NCAC 02S .1006 GENERAL PROHIBITIONS

http://reports.abc.nc.gov/uploads/resources/51ef6991e91f436796b59db6f79e9561.pdf

The general rule is that coupons for alcohol are not allowed, but there are some exceptions that do allow them.

Interesting. So basically individual stores can offer them as long as the discount isn't too much. I wonder why more places don't.

And/or they can only discount to 25 percent off, so might as well just put it on sale so they don't have to deal with the coupons. Just seems like it would be a good way to get into the heads of coupon clippers.

I am killing the mega event at Kroger...

The warmers are 1.30 overage and the toothpaste (with the $2 off any Crest Pro Health) is .54 overage. (The small tubes & For Me are 2.46-$1 event savings). I got the free body wash that ended yesterday also with last month's P&G coupon.

I have so many of both coupons. I love getting free whatever I want. The best part is the Crest Toothpaste coupons are from awhile ago and do not state 4/transaction. So I keep it around $8 in overage and get produce, cheese, and meat

^Thanks for putting those out.

Where can I find a key to all the coupon acronyms? I have never couponed before and this thread seems like useful information if I could actually interpret it. All I know is BOGO BC and AC.

manufacturers coupons....unlike a store coupon

You can usually stack both a manufacturer and a store coupon depending where you shop.

Hope they leak the ad soon so I can trade for some coupons.......

Anyways on a side note, I keep finding free egg catelina in the food lion parking lot. I have found 5 dozen free eggs and free FL orange juice

Speaking of catelinas, does anyone actually get anything good for them? Every time I get one its like 20% off payless shoes or Allstate or something like that. Never anything for food at the store

^At Harris Teeter I got tons of free yogurt, Cliff bars, Cottennelle etc.

It tracks your spending habits and targets you. If you fill all the information out for all your cards (HT,FL,LF,CVS), you have an account somewhere that figures out your spending habits. The ones you are getting every one gets. I only get good stuff every 1-2 weeks.

I get I get a lot of baby stuff. I have received promo codes for Pampers as well as coupons for diapers, wipes, and products. If I see one in the parking lot when I get back to my car I will pick it up. That is how I am finding the free eggs. Also, FL has $/total order coupons printing on their catelinas and I save them for Harris Teeter.

That is usually the worst stocked HT in town. It is also the busiest HT in town. I agree about the HT on Glenwood and Oberlin. They are good about being stocked.

Also the HT on Creedmoor in Stonehenge Market is also stocked

^I go on afullcup.com. I go on trains...so basically I build a wishlist of product that I want coupons for and then I find a train thread. I claim an envelope from the person above me and then offer an envelope. The next person then takes my envelope. There are rules posted in the first thread about how many coupons you have to send, etc. So when I send the envelope out I look at that person's wishlist and put coupons that I have into it. It is a good way to get coupons we do not get in the paper. By doing this, I am trading coupons I would never use for stuff I want..I also get wine tags, rebates, etc. Most people put in 1-2 HOT coupons. People will print out coupons if you put them on the wishlist. I have 6-10 copies of printable for HT from trading.

With everyone having different stores (Bilo, publix, wegmanns, Hebs, etc) everyone is looking for different coupons.

Back to school for education is like cash right now. I traded 400 for 60 bowls of toddler food (retail at 70) I do stockpile trades. Someone posts a list of what they are looking for and what they have (including money) and I build flat rate boxes.

My husband is a district manager and he gets me tearpads from distributors. I have 3 hot tearpads right now that I could sell if I wanted, but I trade for what I want.....I have made around $400 in mail in rebates of meat, cheese, produce, etc. ( I have the .55/1 vitamin water, .50/1 any Hershey milk, and 1/2 wonka (free candy at CVS this week))

Also, you can buy coupons from people there. I haven't but they seem to be reasonable prices. The rebates run 10% value + postage. Coupons between .03-.50/coupon depending on what it is.

^ they had soy sauce marked down? I just got back myself and got some too and the smallest bottle was like $2.39 but the bottle one size up was marked down to like $2.50 so I just got that one.

Nothing overly impressive on my end. Had to get some produce and meats and stuff that weren't marked down too much.
Total BC $155.18
Total AC $81.07

Way too much stuff to type out what all I got

My mom is on vacation so I used her card. Otherwise I just use my husband's and mine and pay cash. They link the cards if someone consistently uses a credit card between cards. My sister's and husbands ended up getting linked.

really? That sucks. I wouldn't know as I'm beginning to wonder if my HT has ever had it in stock at any point what-so-ever

I would have done much better if this past week was super doubles instead of triples. Before I found out it was triples, I was using my coupons that were <$1 since I was expecting super doubles and that left me with a bunch of $1 and $1.50 coupons. Oh well

yeah I always hated that every store that was featured had the special of $10 off for every $50 order. I don't think I've ever seen that in any stores I have frequented in the 3 states I've lived in since buying my own groceries.

That and using 80 bazillion coupons per order.

Though I will admit that the show helped me get into couponing, I knew when I first saw it that stores were probably going to start making it harder on people due to the "extreme" people.

hey ya'll i have a question about some coupons i want to use....

here is the set up

tidy cat litter is on sale at target for $11

i have a coupon for "buy 1 tidy cats litter get 1 6oz package of purina friskies party mix cat treats free"

here is the twist...

i have another coupon for "buy 1 package of purina friskies party mix cat treats get friskies cat treats free"

can i combine these coupons even though i am getting the "buy THIS get that free" for free with another deal?

I don't think they would let you combine those coupons

I think you'd have to have 3 Friskies treats in order to use those 2 coupons.

1 Friskies treats that is free w/ the Tidy cat coupon
and 2 treats for the BOGO coupon

So you would be paying for 1 Tidy Cat container and 1 bag of Friskies

thanks for the input!

new question...

how does it work when i use a BOGO coupon and there is a sale for 2 for $x

example: 2 bags of m&ms for $5 + BOGO m&ms coupon = ?? would it be $2.50? or would it be the price of 1 bag of m&ms if you didn't take advantage of the 2for price?

It's based on how they run their deals, how their registers work, and how the cashier is feeling at the time.

Your scenario will almost always go like this:

1. Ring up your items.
2. Scan loyalty card. They can do this before ringing up your items...it doesn't matter.
3. Sale prices will be applied...so total is $5.
4. You present your BOGO coupon.
5. In order to honor the BOGO coupon, the cashier will have to manually subtract the price of one bag of M/M's from your order. They can either subtract the sale price ($2.50) or the original price ($3.29 or whatever)--they typically take off the original price.

So you're looking at:

$2.50 for two bags...or more likely...$1.71 for two bags.

The only way it would "be the price of 1 bag of m&ms if you didn't take advantage of the 2for price" is if the cashier did some crazy overriding.

gotcha, that makes sense

i have a cashier im buddy buddy with at walgreens who loves to ring up ppl who have a lot of coupons

i need to look at the deals again but i prefer walgreens over cvs for drugstore deals bc i find the cashiers are nicer. plus i get a 15% discount on top of everything with work so it almost always works out better anyway
