Alright, I'm still pulling for us to turn it around this season but starting Ferguson was one of three things:

1) A sign that a racist white guy behind the scenes is calling the shots and Sid is nothing but a figurehead puppet at this point

or

2) Sidney is trying to play the race card literally by starting an unqualified white guy to gain favor amongst the fans

or

3) An ackowledgement He just has no idea what is going on and he's thinking about how many cheeseburgers he can buy with the money he has banked on this job



It's time to win or time to go. There is nothing suggesting things will get better under Lowe. Poor coaching will get you nowhere in college sports.

It's talked about that starting Ferguson is a bad decision. Who do we start then? I wasn't impressed tonite with Turd out and CJ sure wasn't getting it done as a starter. Who's left really?

Horner - He hasn't turned on that flaming basketball yet this year
Smith - Decent post man, but is lacking other moves
Harris - Damn, I love his hustle, but he isn't much of a scorer
Thomas - He seems like he might be the Levi Watkins of this generation. Sounded decent, got hurt, and never looked the same again

Out of what's available, Turd wasn't a bad choice.

I haven't followed too much basketball yet as in my eyes it is still football season until the superbowl is played. Anyway, so listening to 850 this morning and hearing that the rankings are 1. UNC, 5. Duke, and 6. Wake makes me sick. How can Wake move up their assistant coach after Prosser passes and actually be better? I am so sick of being the odd man out.

^He was there best recruiter. And i think they had the top recruiting class last year. they have a lot of talented guys. we have maybe 2 talented guys that are inconsistent. maybe one day we'll have right mix PG, SG/F, and a great C and we won't played scared.

Loyola (MD) is in Maryland. It's in the title. The only other Loyola (Loyola-Marymount) is in LA.

FYI before you all jump off the cliff did anyone catch the Marquette Villanova game last night. The same Marquette team that squeaked by us with a clutch three pointer put up 79 points and beat Villanova who has one of "the best defenses in the league". Our ability to hold them to 68 pts sure looks a lot better now. This team is a much better team than last year and with the addition of solid guard recruits coming in I think Lowe has us headed in the right direction.

look i know this doesn't make it much better, it still remains that we nearly lost...but when Loyola played that circus side show defense against Curry, they left the rest of their team to play 4 on 3. Literally - Curry just stood in the corner with two guys on him while his 4 teammates passed around the 3 man zone until they had an easy shot or layup. I'm pretty sure State could even beat UNC (probably not by 30, maybe by 3) if we were playing 4 on 3.

I didn't think Sidney did a terrible job this game. I would have liked to see a play for Costner called at the end and Horner should not be getting the minutes he is while Smith is on the bench. Costner can play the 3 and McCauley/Smith the 4/5...

In Sid's defense our team isn't good and they played hard today. We've been close against Marq, Davidson, and Florida.

But that doesn't change the fact that we're 0-3 against real teams heading into ACC play which will consist of mostly real teams.

I doubt we'll even be NIT eligible for the second straight year.
