What to do with Roddy White this week? Do you really sit your #1 WR in the Semifinals? He is going up against Revis...
Pick 3: White vs Revis Steve NYG Smith vs WSH Cotchery vs ATL Britt vs MIA
Right now I've got White, Smith and Cotchery. Do I sneak Britt in for anyone? Bench White for any of them? 12/16/2009 10:28:53 PM |
daddywill88 All American 710 Posts user info edit post |
Revis won't necessarily cover White all game, but history tells us that #1 WRs don't have good week vs him. If you have to pick 3 out of those you kinda have to play him. Go with what you've got.
Pick 3 TO Bowe Megatron Antonio Bryant or a wavier pick up of (Knox, Breaston, or S. Moss) 12/16/2009 10:40:31 PM |

SO big week for me... I need two WR of:
Bowe, Dwayne Meachum, Robert Cribs, Josh Sims-Walker, Mike...
Pls to help win! 12/17/2009 1:42:45 AM |

- at least i'm not the only one considering playing bowe. it definitely looks as if he'll play right?
- i've got white too and im seriously considering benching him. revis has shut down almost every #1 receiver he's been up against all year. i could pick up michael jenkins and play him instead, good idea?
- how worried should i be about starting deangelo this week?
- ^sims-walker hasn't had a good past few games, id have to go with bowe and meachem 12/17/2009 6:40:55 AM |

I can play one of the following: Marion Barber, Brandon Jacobs, Donald Driver, Derrick Mason. League gives 1/2 PPR. Who gets the start? 12/17/2009 7:54:14 AM |
sarahjane Veteran 365 Posts user info edit post |
^ I'd pick Derrick Mason, with second choice being Jacobs.
Why is Brady projected so low this week? I know I should/have to start him but it scares me, my only other option is Jason Campbell.
So.... Brady v. Jets or Campbell v. Giants?? 12/17/2009 12:23:30 PM |

Brady should have a good game. I would be worried about the weather but right now it looks clear and slightly windy. Play him with confidence. 12/17/2009 12:38:15 PM |

A few things. First, the Bills have a great pass defense, which is why Brady is projected so low against them. Also, their run defense is completely awful, and so everyone just runs them to death. Why bother risking a pass if they can't stop the run?
That being said, I think you can still count on Brady to be big this week, and there's a possibility that Moss will be huge as well. Last week Carolina talked smack about his effort, and I don't think he liked being called out by a losing team. He'll look to put on a show this week and prove that he didn't quit on the team.
Also, the Patriots are playing for a playoff spot right now. The odds of them totally laying an egg are slim. Brady may not get huge numbers, but he's got a chance at doing well. Campbell, on the other hand, could be hit or miss. For me, what really makes a QB productive is an offense that gets the ball in the endzone. Even if they usually run it in, if they put up points, you can count on the QB to at least have a decent day. You never know if Washington will come out playing hard, or if they'll totally crap the bed. For my money, that's just too much risk at this point in the season. Always go with the bankable talent in playoff weeks, too. Take a chance when you aren't one and done. 12/17/2009 2:46:59 PM |

Benched Sims Walker for Dwayne Bowe. I was scared he would pull another week like last week due to the injury. And Bowe should have big upside vs cleveland.
I have Jones Drew at least
And the team I'll play next week (they should win) has Peyton, so that should work out too. 12/17/2009 10:00:24 PM |

My starting team looks like this:

again.
i'm leaning towards grant again as he has been pretty consistent.
as for the other one, unsure. deangelo is healthy but going up against WWA (wiliams williams allen). benson is going up against the chargers tough d. saints are playing the cowboys who can be tough against the run, plus bell and bush are both playing.
ugh.
(plus i have Fitz AND Megatron who are both currently listed as questionable and my QB is schaub but the other guy has AJ! fucked am i. third place game here i come!)12/19/2009 12:36:25 AM |
wahoowa All American 3288 Posts user info edit post |
i would start grant and benson. Grant should do well against the PIT D which has given up alot of rushing yards, especially since the forecast calls for snow during the game. CIN will pound the ball with Benson at least 20 times and should have success...SD Def isnt that great versus the rush.
CAR will be playing from behind for most of the game so that may limit Deangelo. Thomas plays in a three way committee and should be your last choice.

It is a blizzard in Philly and Baltimore right now
Got a couple of questions:
1) How will this affect the Eagles and Ravens D/ST? I think I'm gonna go with the Eagles just because I don't think SF will be able cope with the conditions and play their A game.
2)Pick 2: Lesean McCoy, Leonard Weaver, Hakeem Nicks, Calvin Johnson (Culpepper starting), Donald Driver 12/19/2009 12:38:08 PM |

Frank Gore vs. Philadelphia or Knowshon Moreno vs. Oakland? I'm thinking Moreno. Both listed as probable.
Also, Giants D vs. Washington or Jets D vs. Atlanta

-anyone with any last minute advice on P.Thomas? Is he definitely playing tonight? He's been getting me a lot of points the past few weeks bc im in a PPR league, but no touchdowns.
- and im pulling the plug on R.White this week and playing Bowe instead. Any White owners going to risk it and play him against Revis this week? 12/19/2009 4:08:47 PM |
wahoowa All American 3288 Posts user info edit post |
^^ Id play Moreno and the Jets D. SF will be playing from behind and they pass way too much for Gore to be worth a start IMO. The Giants dont have a defense so Id start the Jets.
^ What other options do you have for Thomas? He is definitely playing so Id start him...he should have success catching passes out of the backfield but probably wont rush for much. Bell is supposed to return and he might take all the goal line carries.
White is a tossup. There is talk that Revis will switch between White and Gonzalez depending on the formation so I dont think White will be completely ineffective. It really depends on how Redman can handle the all out blitzes.

Yeah, I have Turner but I am stuck between a rock and a hard place. Fred Jackson is nothing great obviously, but I can't play Turner in a playoff game with the injury questions, can I?
My other back is Jamaal Charles (after Ronnie Brown got hurt!).

^^ Start Beanie...he has looked great and DET is terrible.
Jamaal Charles should have a great game and I would definitely start Fred Jackson over Turner. Two NE DEs, including Wilfork, are out of the game, which should open up running lanes for him.
