I've never sold a car before and have no idea how to go about the process. The 2001 Toyota Camry I've had for 9 years is likely on it's last legs (shop said it's probably having internal engine failure) and I wasn't able to trade it in when I got my new truck. Other than the engine trouble, the sunroof is off track, the clear coat has just about come off the entire hood, and has typical dents/dings along with some faded spots. Prior to the engine trouble, it never really gave me any issues.
I have the title (car was a salvage rebuilt---wasn't due to the engine) and was just wondering what you guys think would be a reasonable price to list is as? Anything else you guys recommend when selling a car? 5/11/2016 9:28:49 PM |

look around and see what a similar ones without engine trouble and with clean titles are going for. yours is worth a small fraction of that. 5/11/2016 10:03:43 PM |

Call a recycling company to haul your car away and take the $200 they offer you. Salvage title and engine failure? Not worth much of anything to anyone. 5/11/2016 10:28:43 PM |

I've got a 2011 Honda Rancher 420 4x4 with full automatic transmission and/or electronic shift with 30 hours and right at 200 miles on it... it's clean as hell I just don't have room in my garage for it anymore. Any interest? 5/11/2016 10:59:43 PM |

Looking for a 4 door car or a truck that can hold car seats for about 1500. has to be reliable and it would be great if it was from someone who has posted more than a handful of times. PM me if you have anything and i'll be on TWW about once a day to check. Thanks y'all. 12/9/2016 4:01:18 PM |

For future reference that's a fucking awesome deal, assuming everything's in good shape. Honestly as long as the drivetrain was well cared for it's a solid deal regardless of the rest of the car.12/9/2016 4:06:42 PM |

for $1500 you should be happy if you can drive it home without it catching fire / breaking down

Haha. I bought a new beater for less than $1k. 4 doors, 4 seats, AC works... Starts up every time (if not the first try, definitely by the third). Previous owner put in a new battery, new alternator, new spark plugs, new tires... Should be good for another 5 years.
It can be done, just keep hounding Craigslist.

step it up to $2500 and you start seeing 90's jap midsize sedans (camry, maxima, etc)
btw rear-facing/base-mounted child seats will be a tight squeeze in any 4 door.

both of my kiddos are forward facing now so the seats don't need tons of room right now thankfully. 12/12/2016 12:10:35 PM |

1990 Integra 4 door sedan with 119k miles. That car will go another 100k miles with minimal maintenance, 200k with moderate maintenance. He'd probably take $2000. Located on west coast, but something similar shouldn't be tough to find.

Hmm... Maybe $18. I'd offer $15. That's what they were going for, about 3-5 years ago... But then again, there's always that person who will pay $20k+ because there's some false security in thinking spending more means it's in better shape. It's a 15 year old car... Come on guys.

Trying to gauge if there's any interest in my '95 Wrangler. Runs great and has very low miles for its age. It's a third vehicle and I rarely drive it. I have a couple of young kids so I'm considering selling to raise money for a newer Unlimited. I'm the second owner but have had it since 2000.
~105k miles 4.0L 6-cyl engine Manual Transmission Currently has a bikini top but I also have a NIB Bestop Supertop - black with tinted window and all new hardware
