Pam could have done it easily though. She's not as strong or fast as Eric but compared to humans she is beyond deadly. I guess we are just being nitpicky though, it's not really a big deal.

Yeah, yall are thinking way too hard about it/giving the writers way too much credit if you think they considered or worried about things like that making any sort of sense

I think it was actually pretty consistent with Eric's personality. At the end of the day, the dude is lazy and just wants to party it up for eternity, so the idea of letting someone else run the business while he collects the money was appealing to him. But when it became clear that they would continue trying to control him and Pam through fear and intimidation, it was easier just to murder them all and run the business himself. That was my interpretation.

Just started watching this show, and I'm on season 3.

Obviously this is one of the most popular shows to have graced HBO, so my opinions don't really matter, but I find it funny how all of these "supernaturals" make their way to Bon Temps.

Do we ever meet or hear about the oldest living vampire?

Lafeyette and Jason are definitely my favorite characters.

I never stopped, but even I will admit that the Mermaid Wars in season 5 were hard to follow.

He's fucking with you. But there are some questionable things for a couple of seasons and then it gets back to being about vampires to a greater extent.

There are some really old (powerful) vampires at some points.

I guess I'm asking questions that have been asked years ago

But Godric says it won't take him to burn up because he is so old, and it only takes about 20 seconds or so, but then when they get Russell out in the sun, who is much older than Godric, he takes forever, and still doesn't die.

if you are asking questions like that at this point in the show, do yourself a favor and stop watching and pretend like everyone lives happily ever after.

I wish I would've

Did Russell have fairy blood recently? I can't remember the timeline. Maybe not.

In the Louisiana weather, is there really any way his original coffin would have still been intact?
