If Shaun Hill plays, I'd play him, which all signs point towards yes:

Quote :
"Coach Jim Schwartz confirmed Wednesday that Shaun Hill (forearm) will be the Lions' starter at Buffalo in Week 10, barring late-week setbacks.
Hill has started six games this season, in them throwing nine touchdown passes against six interceptions. The Lions did not scale back their game plan at all with Hill under center, allowing him to try 43.5 passes per contest. With some of the best weaponry in all of football, Hill should be considered a high-end QB2 going forward, with low-end QB1 value depending on opponents. The Bills present a highly favorable matchup for Hill start hot."

does anyone know who is supposed to start for the Panthers this weekend? Just read the Dolphins are starting Pennington. I have Rivers on bye and this was the one week I was going to have to play my back up...Chad Henne

Yeah I'd go Flacco as well.

I need a QB for the bye week.
Sanchez vs. Browns OR
Shaun Hill vs. Bills

Browns are currently 25th against the pass and Bills are 6th (I'm guessing bc they get run on)

Any ideas about my above post about Sanchez (vs Browns) or Shaun Hill (vs. Bills)?

god dammit someone picked up Philly defense while I was napping. DET, WAS, SF, SEA, STL are left. BAL might clear waivers on 13th.

DET is of course playing BUF

Mike Wallace
Mike Williams
Brandon Lloyd

i need 2 out of those 3. I would keep wallace and williams as they have performed for me....but lloyd leads the league in receiving....so im kinda at a crossroads

I would go with Jones, Detroit has a very underrated defense and the Bills offensive line will more than likely get no push against the Lions front.

Vernon Davis v STL
or
Jacob Tamme v Cincy

A lot of those guys are FA's in most of my leagues. Most people in my leagues just keep their main QB to leave space for RB's and WR's.

^^ Guy dropped Favre a couple weeks ago for Fitzpatrick, and then this week a guy dropped Cutler for Carson Palmer.

I had my waivers pick up Favre on wed morning because I have Harvin and Shiancoe, but that was before I had a def on Hill or the others.

So should I drop Favre for one of the others?

I had a feeling this day was coming, but for those of you who are still holding onto LT, now would be an excellent time to sell high on him

Quote :
"
Greene
Citing a member of the Jets' front office, NFL Network's Jason La Canfora reports that Rex Ryan's team is targeting a 50:50 timeshare between Shonn Greene and LaDainian Tomlinson for the season's second half.
It's only fair with Greene severely outplaying Tomlinson over the past four games. "It's hasn't gone unnoticed (by Jets decision makers)," says La Canfora of Greene's 4.80 yards-per-carry average to Tomlinson's 3.68 since Week 4. "To expect L.T. to finish the season the way he started it might be a bit naive." Greene was a first-half fantasy bust, but the Jets can't continue to keep him on the back burner when he's the best option in the backfield. Greene should be in line for 12-15 touches in Week 10 at Cleveland. The arrow is pointing dangerously downward for Tomlinson's fantasy value."

be careful with that too, Portis is trying to come back this week or next

Quote :
"Clinton Portis (groin) expects to be a game-time decision for this week's game against the Eagles.
We wouldn't bank on Portis playing. He experienced some swelling after practicing yesterday, an indication that he's not back to football shape. Coach Mike Shanahan suggested last week that Portis would need at least a week or two of practice before he's ready for game action."

Quote :
"According to Redskins coach Mike Shanahan, Clinton Portis (groin) "did more" in practice Wednesday than Ryan Torain (hamstring).
We've learned not to trust what comes out of Shanahan's mouth, especially for injury-related situations, so take this with a grain of salt. Portis was perhaps used more because he's out of football shape and trying to get back on the field. We'll know more about Washington's backfield later this week."

How does everyone feel about starting Hillis against the Jets D?

My other two RBs are MJD and LeSean McCoy. My two WRs are Dwayne Bowe and DeSean Jackson.

I can throw Hillis or Dez Bryant in my flex spot. Any thoughts?

ayton was a bye week pickup for me as wellI just got offered this trade in yahoo:

Hakeem Nicks
Jeremy Maclin
Chris Cooley

for

Patrick Crayton
Malcolm Floyd
Jacob Tamme

Personally, I almost shit a brick when I saw this because Nicks would be the best WR on my team if I accepted this trade. I have Vernon Davis, I picked up Tamme for the bye week (that worked out beautifully). I think I should accept this trade. What do you experts think?

[Edited on November 11, 2010 at 10:57 AM. Reason : Crayton was a bye week pickup as well, so I really don't see why I shouldn't pull the trigger on it.]

^ Haha that guy is in idiot. Definitely take the trade and laugh at him afterwards.

Roddy White is expected to play tonight even though he has a knee injury and had limited practice on Wed. Anyone worried about playing him? Id hate to have him in and he leaves after a quarter because of the pain.

Vetoing a trade is among the lowest shit in fantasy football. It might've been a fair move back in 1992 where everyone didn't have equal access to information, but nowadays, there's no excuse.

Coming out on the great end of the deal is the whole essence of the process. If you manage to take someone in a deal, that's the other person's problem. It shouldn't be the place of others in the league who are jealous, or don't think the deal is completely 1:1 fair to step in and throw the train off the tracks (with the exception of end of the season player-dumping trades).

now that Sidney Rice looks like he might actually play this week I'll ask about this trade one more time:

I give:
Frank Gore

I get:
Mike Vick
Knowshon Moreno
Sidney Rice

my current roster is:
QB: Jay Cutler, David Garrard
RB: Arian Foster, Matt Forte, Shonn Greene, Frank Gore
WR: Roddy White, Santana Moss, Randy Moss, Malcolm Floyd, Pierre Garcon

I didnt see it the first time, but I'd take it all day even before Sidney Rice was going to play. A good QB solidifys that team and Moreno is a pretty good RB when healthy.

I don't know about that. 3-for-1 seems like a good deal, but that just means you have to drop two other guys anyway unless you have open roster spots.

That leaves you pretty thin at RB. Foster and Gore have been great. Forte's only had two really good weeks and has been inconsistent. Shonn Greene has been terrible.

So the way I see it, you upgrade at QB, maybe stay even/slight upgrade at WR and big-time downgrade at RB (Moreno had two great weeks to start the season then got hurt. He might be OK, but you know how those hammy injuries go.)

For me, it would depend on what's left in the FA pool at WR and RB.

(edit: full disclosure, I tend to be a bit more conservative at trades and prefer to pick up FAs)

Shonn Greene has been borderline startable over the last few weeks, and now that he has Rex's blessing to get more carries every week, I think he is going to put up even better numbers for the rest of the year.

With that said, I would probably start Moreno immediately alongside Foster. I would probably drop Garrard and Garcon to make room for Moreno and Rice. If Randy Moss doesnt catch on with the Titans, or if Malcolm Floyd stays out for a couple more weeks, Rice could be a solid member of my starting lineup. My WRs are strong already, but if Rice picks up where he left off with Favre, he will be more valuable than Santana, Randy and Floyd going forward - Roddy White will still by my WR1.

The more I look at this, the more I like the trade. I hate to lose Gore, he was my #1 pick, but Vick is a stud and a huge upgrade over Cutler and Garrard

even though I probably wont pick up any free agents with the talent already on my team, available FAs are:

Ryan Mathews, Felix Jones, Marion Barber, Fred Jackson, CJ Spiller, Marshawn Lynch, Clinton Portis, Donald Brown, Dexter McCluster, Donald Driver, Mike Williams (sea), Lance Moore, Steve Breaston, Nate Burleson

I would definitely start Hillis in your flex spot. He has put up good numbers against good defenses this season already. It might not be 180 yard, 2TD game, but he's playing out of his mind right now. I wouldnt bench him until he slows down

Pick 1 to start.

Favre vs CHI (put up insane numbers last week but is still hobbling on that ankle).
Fitzpatrick vs DET (good matchup but has lost Parrish for the season which hurts their passing game)
Sanchez vs CLE (possibly good matchup but CLE shutdown Brady last week so I'm weary of that).
Bradford vs SF (good matchup with no real downside that I can think of other than the fact that he doesn't put up huge numbers).

^I'd go with Fitz or Bradford...I see them having point production within 2-3 of each other.

I grabbed Donald Brown off of waivers this week...anyone think he's gonna pan out, or should I keep him benched and try to package him in a trade?

^not sure, but I doubt I'd start Favre.

I don't know why people think Detroit's passing game will suffer, they still have Calvin Johnson and Nate Burlson, which may get defended a bit more, but they are both good receivers.

Analysis: Matthew Stafford (shoulder) hasn't been ruled out, but there's reports that he's done for the season. Shaun Hill is recovering from a broken forearm and is questionable for Sunday. Stanton has a star in Calvin Johnson and a decent supporting cast of offensive characters to work with should he get the nod, but expectations should obviously be quite low for the former Michigan State standout."

Guy just proposed a trade to me: I give Randy Moss and get Davone Bess

This is a PPR league and I already have Hakeem Nicks and Mike Wallace. I need a Wes Welker type to get me a consistent 10 points a game and Moss has pissed me off all season (he's def lost a step)

Should I accept the trade?
