Though you briefly paused to consider whether a pepsi max (with its rather high caffeine content) would be an appropriate dinner beverage, I feel you failed to fully understand the gravity of the situation. Though you've had little trouble falling asleep in recent weeks due to exhaustion brought on by page after page of mind numbing reading, that much caffeine late at night must have seemed like a bad idea on some level. Now the coffee you had planned to drink as a pick-me-up in less than 4 hours has become an absolute necessity, thus perpetuating the cycle. In the future, please limit yourself to moderately caffeinated beverages after 5pm if you are unable to abstain from them all together.

i recall this weekend you mentioned something about not having washed your hair since tuesday. so i figured that meant it still hadn't been washed

i wash my hair every day. the only time i don't wash my hair every day is when it's a saturday/sunday and i'm being lazy and i don't get out of my pajamas all day. then sometimes i don't wash my hair. but damned if i go out in public like that!

The effect of this is neglible.
Most of the oil production is stimulated by the act of shampooing daily: you're taking away what the body has produced, so it's producing it again. Remove less, and it will produce less = needing fewer shampoos.

What I suggest is wash your hair on a thursday (wednesday night, if possible)...wear it up friday to hide your greasiness, go camping over the weekend, and then shampoo your scalp once when you get back sunday evening, and condition only the ends.

Then, you're on your way to washing not-every-day

I hadn't planned to get to the point where I'm washing it only a little more than a week...it just so happened that I'd have days off, and would decide to wait til my next day of work to wash it...and then bam. Here I am on this washing schedule Simply waiting a little longer between washes is the key here.
