i bought two things of primer and one eyeshadow trio

didnt go hog wild............i save that for sephora

now that ive discovered chanel and sephora............ulta is like kmart

i am ready to be independently wealthy so i can afford chanels skincare line

especially the hydramax serum..........90 bucks is too much for a small bottle of moisturizing serum right now

but one day...........oh yes

for now i must settle for the occaisional 25 dolla gloss......but what gloss it is!!

finally bought some chanel perfume today...........settled on chance............i actually like no 5 my mom wore it when i was little though.......... and its a bit too overwhelming a fragrance.

id like a whiff of no 19 tho....

See I'm a chanel make-up freak!

I have lots of eyeshadow. They don't make foundation for black girls, so I buy that elsewhere. But their pigments in the shadows are great because they show up so well on darker skin!

I wear Coco Mademoiselle and #5 and that's it. You should try Coco, it's not as abrasive as Chance. It's also a lot more "grown up" smelling (to me).

I agree that Ulta is like Kmart. haha

haha i wear covergirl stuff most of the time

i'm poor.

i like mac. i sometimes buy mac. but it is hard to splurge on 1 eyeshadow for $25 or 30 dollars when i have to live on a petite (LIMITED) amount of money.

DEAR GOD I CANNOT WAIT UNTIL I HAVE JOB. being a student sucks. a LOT. unless ofcourse you feed off your parents, then it is probably good.

how much is bobbi brown makeup? is it comparable to mac or is it more expensive?

neither coco, nor coco mademoiselle moved me much

i still have a sample of no 5 from when my best nursing school pal was a chanel SA

i do love my #6 powder brush she gave me

girl had bags and bags of goodies from working there...........except for the whole public thing that would be a lovely side job

i am so pale that very highly pigmented makeup is a bit overpowering for my features

so no MAC or bobbi brown for me

Bobbi Brown is around the same price as MAC Not all shades are hyper pigmented. I'm just saying they they use a better quality of the pigment than Cover Girl or L'Oreal (even though some come from the same company). The better quality will show up on my skin without using like 18 coats of the cheaper stuff.

They way to do it is to make sure you're on their lists for events! You buy one thing you need and they usually give you a gift bag full of fun items. That way you can try stuff. Also if you're a good customer, they will just give you samples when you go up to the counter.

Also, don't just buy the single shades of eyeshadows and whatnot if you can help it. Do the duos and color sets unless you MUST have that certain color. It's cheaper that way.

You can also request samples of their products. They'll put a little bit into a container for you to try. Some people don't realize they can try out the creams and cleansers before paying a beacoup and not like em.

i think for christmas i might ask for all new makeup. everytime i do that it costs like $100+ dollars. i need to just DO IT and keep up with it then it won't be ask expensive. but you really can tell a difference between good stuff and cheap stuff.

i'm probably a lot prettier when i wear mac than stupid cover girl. but god its like $6 v. $40. sigh. i might try bobbi brown but i have been impressed with the mac stuff too. i might just go in and be like do my make up then buy everything they use on me. i want day and night, also.

i should also probably use better face moisturizer and other face products. how soon is too soon to jump on the skin firming/anit wrinkle moisturizers.

what other face products do you guys (gals!! ) use?

Well I like Bobbi because she's really good at the "natural" look, as well as the fun going out colors (if that makes sense).

I just started using her face care stuff and I like it a lot. My face just feels so nice when I'm done washing it and putting on the cream. I use this stuff for anti-aging and I'm 27 So you are never too young to start!
http://www.bobbibrowncosmetics.com/templates/products/sp_nonshaded.tmpl?CATEGORY_ID=CATEGORY2933&PRODUCT_ID=PROD1219

I've also used the make-up for a bit, along with MAC and Chanel and Lancome (I'm a make-up aholic) and of the group I like her stuff for everyday.

well i can't speak for diva but what is most important is to spend $ on your foundation. as far as blush and eyeshadow etc. unless you are looking for high pigment shadows, you don't need to spend texas $ on it. I've worked for estee lauder for over a year and go to see a lot of make up from a lot of brands I've used really exp. makeup and really cheap makeup and often you can't tell the difference.

like i said i spend the most on the proper foundation followed by my bronzer. I do like too faced as well as an alternative to mac.

also skin care for me is totally different. I spend money on that, thats for sure. i like origins because of the natural aspect.

^ you should get a blockbuster set, a lot of companies like lauder and lancome have them for the holidays and they are a good deal and a way to get a lot of make up

They're having an event in Raleigh Dec. 11,12,13th with fun artists coming into town. I wanna go because I want some of the gel eyeliner

I agree with spending the money on your foundation as well!!!! Like I said...my skin is darker so I have trouble with buying the cheaper colors. I would go through them too fast because you couldn't see them, or would throw them away because they just looked "ashy" and not like the color in the container.

Free gifts with purchase are great too!

yea i usually just wish i had the mac foundation again instead of cover girl. i guess i could care less about the shadows and stuff. although i really like the mac eyeshadows. and sometimes good mascara is good to find but you CAN find good cheap mascara (at least cheapER...like at sephora).

maybe i will just get foundation and some eye shadows and new brushes and things and then stick to cheap-y stuff for blushes etc

mostly what i need is to know how to DO my makeup. i mean i'm not like a retard but i never know what colors to pick or what looks good. i mean i think things look good but then i'm never sure. and i don't really understand all the different things. like when i go into mac i get overwhelmed by all the different things...like bases for eyemakeup. do i really need that? i just never know. haha. i'm not good at being a girl

If you want to learn then just go to a counter like MAC or whomever...you may have to buy something haha but tell them you want to know how to use it with other things you have (a nice way of asking them to show you how to do your make-up)

^YES! Good brushes are AMAZING and totally worth the money.

ya best to go on a slow day, honestly its more fun putting on someone's make up and showing them how to use it instead of just standing around and doing nothing. but if you go when its busy its going to be rough.

Be specific. Tell them what YOU like and don't like.

When they ask if you like that color..say no if you really don't. It's the only way to get what you want

I usually don't wear any makeup. tho I love the mineral powder foundations and have been using them for 12 years.

I have a friend that is an aethetician and product/make-up whore. she gives me what ever I need and does my make up for special events. she taught me the basics, wich is good. I usually don't try anything new or trendy, just the basics.

For super big events the family has it's own makeup artist, and she has shit load cases of stuff, I couldn't even start to imagine what she has.

^ those are def. good suggestions!

I have a question now

I have long, straight hair, not really fine hair but its pretty smooth and not coarse at all. It gets unbearably static prone in the winter time. Is there any remedy for this? I hate it so much and I would cut my hair if I wasnt trying to grow it out to donate it in the spring.

Ive already tried various sleeking serums, hair creams, and a dryer sheet.

Thanks for the suggestions. I went to all of those places (and a few more) and came out with one from Belks that was my favorite.

Beverly Nails, the one off Duraleigh Rd. It's a few stores down from Edwards Mill Bar and Grill in that shopping center. I cant remember the name of the shopping center right now, but it's the corner of Duraleigh and Edwards Mill.

I use the Frederic Fekkai Olive Oil Glossing Cream for this. You can use before or after drying, but I do both.

After I'm done styling, I spray on Tresemme No Frizz Shine Spray. It's the best spray I've found yet.

What the hell is this faggotry

On zappos, you can only search one refining criteria at a time.

So...no searching all shoes that are 7.5, 8, or 8.5. You must do it one size/color/brand/width at a time
