the debate was still going on this that page, it must not have been that old of an arguement. And I know the goldeneye part was a new tidbit at least.

im assuming i need a gc controller to play a gc game?
also, has anyone played nfs carbon? 1/30/2007 9:31:15 PM |

I'm pretty sure you can play GC games with the VC. I like the gc layout better. there's a NFS carbon thread you can look at
tiger woods 07 in march
it has potential to be amazing 1/30/2007 9:56:57 PM |

I can't get my Wavebird to respond when I try to use it with the Wii to play Gamecube games. It has new batteries and I made sure the receiver and controller are set to the same channel. This was attempting to play RE4; haven't tried any other GC games. Any idea what it could be? 1/31/2007 12:02:59 AM |

i don't really understand why anyone is arguing over emulators on game consoles. if you are buying a wii, xbox360, ps3, psp, whatever just because of its emulation properties, then you're an idiot.
the whole thing is irrelevant. " |
this is exactly what i said:
Quote : | "to be honest, im probably just as excited, if not more, about the VC then the wii itself." |
i really dont see where i implied that i only bought the wii "only" for the VC, just as nobody has implied that they bought any game system "just because" of its emulation properties. its a nice feature that can be implemented on a vareity of systems, all in a unique way. stop putting words in my mouth.

You have to get into the game using the Wiimote, then you can use the wavebird once the game actually starts.
gay. you should be able to navigate the menus with the GC controller.1/31/2007 10:15:54 AM |

Can you go online with these VC games to play multiplayer? Or has the games not been changed around to do it?

8^ i know. when i'm in the actual game it doesn't work at all.
6^ the controller and receiver have channel knobs and they supposedly have to be set to the same one to work. i was just stating that so someone wouldn't waste their time suggesting it.

The light is on. With the Wii in the vertical position, is port 1 the furthest back? It was stupid of me to assume that; I guess my reasoning was that it would be the leftmost port if it was horizontal. 2/1/2007 12:41:54 AM |

its the one with the single dot above it. its the one closest to the disc insertion area.
sounds like you got it in the wrong port

I bought the WIFI connector for the DS. It works on the Wii.
I think the differences in Wii point prices may be tax related.
Also, I dig the virtual console suspend play feature. 2/1/2007 11:13:37 AM |

The suspend play feature allows you to save a game when you exit the virtual console to the Wii menu. It's not incredibly crucial, considering that the save point is lost the next time you play the game. However, with some of the more oldschool games that never offered any save feature (ahem, Sonic), I find it rather nifty. 2/1/2007 11:26:38 AM |

FYI: this modifies the DVD drive itself, does not interfere at all with the Wii's firmware. It also comes with a disable switch, so all you gotsta do is disable it if you're updating. It is next to impossible for Nintendo to counteract this, short of revising the hardware in the future.2/2/2007 11:14:34 AM |
