I'm up 99-74 with Miami's defense left to play and he has two WRs, Brown and Glenn, tonight. Looks like I sewed up the championship, barring anything wacky. I really feel I earned this, too, considering the fact that I picked up Ron Dayne three weeks ago SOLELY for the purpose of playing him this week against Indy.

And then he goes and pulls 153 yards and two TDs.

Both are poised for big games. The Eagles will give up a lot of air yards, but are tight near the end zone. Glenn doesn't have the breakaway speed for a 50+ yd TD like he used to, but he is one of the better route runners in the game today. Look for the Eagles to try and make TO a non-factor again, which means more openings for Glenn. At the same time, there will probably be a few pass-interferences on Glenn that won't show up on the stat sheet in your favor.

Coles just had a huge game last week and he and Pennington seem to be in sync. Mangini seems to have his act together, and with an extra day, he should have a solid plan in place. Pennington can't go deep, but that's why Coles and Cotchery work so well for the Jets - excellent hands and route running. One of the two will show up big, with my money on Coles. - 5 rec/106yd/2TD last game against Dolphins

That said, I'd go to intangibles and peripherals. Both games are in the South, so that's a non-factor. It will rain in Miami this afternoon into tonight, so the field will be even slower than usual. Normaly, I'd say that's bad for a passing game, but with Pennington's arm and a lack of a running game...who knows? The Eagles will be hyped up for their game. Romo will see exotic coverages and attack angles. This could bode well for dump offs, but I don't think you're looking for a 12 rec/90yd/0TD afternoon.

I'd start Coles. I just can't believe you had enough good receivers that you wouldn't start both.

BINGO BANGO.

Champ in one league, 4th in the other.

While my advice wasnt always spot on, I did enjoy giving advice to everyone whenever I could, and for the most part, I was probably right more than I was wrong (even if it was 51%/49% )

Thanks to everyone who helped make this thread the most viewed thread in Sports Talk all year.

Lets do it again next year.

I know most of you are finished but I still have one more game left for the championship and a good amount of money... You guys have helped me get this far....just ooooone more time.

Pick 2 WR:

Ward vs CIN (Currently starting)
Furrey vs DAL (Currently Starting)
Cotchery vs OAK (Want to start but OAK has a good secondary...Best CB is on Coles but is their #2 CB just as solid?)

Kicker
Wilkins or Vinetari

QB:
Garcia or Rivers (I have garcia playing right now)

Defense:
Denver
Jets

Here's the results for my four leagues: I won both leagues where I picked first.

Team Rank Score Comment
Facetious Ferrets 1/8 130-83 Great blowout final over my top rival. Choosing Shaun Alexander over LJ and Fitzgerald over Torry Holt finally came through for me.
Unstable Isotopes 3/10 76-63 Nice victory in consolation game.
Tropically Depressed 1/6 215.78-197.62 Thanks to Bulger and 3 solid RB's this week.
Ravaging Storms 9/10 n/a That's the last time I pick a QB before the 5th round.

Can't wait for next year.

I don't think I could trust Coles. Haven't heard that about Colston. Still, I'd rather have half of a good WR than all of a mediocre TE.

I'd take Galloway over Coles. The Raiders' pass defense is GOOD.

I'd also take Johnson over Lewis. Lewis doesn't get in the endzone often, and I think that's what is needed in the big games.

And obviously go with Colston.

its buffalo for Lewis though and Pittsburgh for The Bengals...that has been my toughest choice all week

and yes Coles has been a tough one since the Raiders d is so good...thought about stallworth, moss, or even galloway...tough tough choice

Jamal vs. Rudi is a toss-up. Lewis has had great games against bad teams so I'd still use him.

Tough WR choice since they're all pretty weak.

I'd go with Boldin just because the Ravens defense can be stifling.

In my league, all the favorite seeds lost in the first round (including me). Then I won out (beating guys with LT and LJ) to get a crappier draft position next year. yay
