so my job is changing a little. i'm gonna be doing more data analysis than i used to. i actually welcome this kinda change, because i like using my head to figure things out and this stuff is right up my alley.

with this change in my duties, plus getting my degree this coming May, i'll finally have the last few stepping stones in place to be able to support my request for a promotion

the only thing that sucks is that promotions typically get made at your annual review. and i just had mine in september. so any promotion i get will wait until my annual review next september.

so essentially i'll have the degree (which the position requires) and i'll be performing the job duties, but i'll be paid significantly less than those duties warrant - for almost a whole year
