to preface, i think it's one of the coolest things in the world that my wife likes to play this with me. that said, i can't see shit with the split screen. i've gotten to the point of getting ratios of at least .80 or higher every game, but when we do split it usually drops to .5 or below just because i can't see little fuckers hiding in corners or sniping on the other side of the map. something i'll have to live with i guess

I got pissed off as fuck last night because this one guy had a lightweight ballistic knife class on summit and was constantly running the edge of the map and slaughtering our team...so I made a class just like it . Lightweight, Steady Aim (to later get Pro version), Marathon, AK74u just because. Its pretty damn fun. Next matches I went 21-12 and 11-5...feel like there's an 18-3 in there but I can't remember.

And yeah wtf happened to the M60? Pulling it out, recovering from sprint, ADS are all VERY slow and make it nearly unusable for me.

I have no aim to begin with and I decided to start playing on 10. it's a fucking miracle if I can hit anyone now. but on the plus side, I can turn around really fucking fast.

^^ Steady Aim is usless on a knife class without pro. If you have Warlord Pro, stick that on there and DOUBLE TOMAHAWKS

Yeah I figure I'll work my way towards Pro with it. Double tomahawks is indeed amazing, used to run Warlord Pro on my main classes just for that, but I keep prestiging and losing all my pro perks . Now that I think about it, I never really had issues last night where I needed to recover very fast, so SoHP might be unnecessary with ballistic knives. Then again, I only got in 2 or 3 matches with it.

I roll with whatever the default sensitivity is.

Word, I don't know if you're a TDM-only player, but something that helped me (as a guy who had never played COD or really any FPS) was playing objective games. Spawns are easier to predict and the high-traffic areas are more dependable. I was averaging like a .3 KD for the first month, now I'm somewhere above 1.2, and probably play in the 1.5-1.6 range. Basically, Domination helped my TDM game immensely.

Another thing that helped early was running spy plane and counter-spy plane. RCXD is cool, but it's maybe worth one kill. SP can get a ton of kills for your entire team.

yeah the only time i've strayed from TDM was playing CTF to get marathon pro. i don't really know strategy for the objective games so i tend to steer clear of them

I was going to experiment and see if the "100 kills after sprinting" would count with stabbing. Hip fire kills would come from the AK74u after I resolved to just get it done

Did the M60 really get nerfed? Last patch doesn't say anything according to my friend but to me it seemed drastically slower to me

The thing that helped my game immensely was changing from a 'charge into battle' - going straight for the kill zones and high traffic areas - to traveling around the battlefield on the edges of the map. My buddy would constantly get very high K by doing that, even with like a SPAS on Array. Mainly helps you from getting gunned down from behind or by snipers who camp on those areas.

I tried that some, but always ended up getting surprised by the other guy going an unconventional route, so a lot of times I just turn my brain off and usually end up cannon fodder in the grinder zones.

Back in my Battlefield 2 days I was always the annoying as fuck sniper that snuck around and ran for miles to get unconventional spots and drop helicopter pilots as they tried to take off. I almost never used vehicles. Of course this was also before the days of the killcam that sold your hard-earned locations after one kill.

Ripping it up the last few days.

Just prestiged three days ago, and went solely with the Olympia for 10 levels and loved it.

Now I'm using the M-14 with dual Pythons, or the M60 with dual Pythons.

I don't think my K/D ratio has been below 2.



Now I'll just have to figure out if I can get some of my games on video to post.

i swear, whenever i try to hand a sentry gun to the other team, some jackoff on my team runs up and steals it. prestiged again, up to level 20, and i haven't seen one sentry gun aside from the ones i call in. gotta be the luckiest requirement for a pro perk in the whole game

haha, last prestige I threw a sentry gun grenade at a guy as he was killing me (Firing Range), then my next life I went back and threw a tomahawk at him while he was trying to place it.

I just prestiged again and got lucky with it this time, the second game or so after I bought Ghost I came upon a wild sentry gun placed by some noobs behind a building on Radiation

apparently cracked is the best spot to get a sentry gun stolen and then subsequently knifed (by me). lots of hiding spots to keep an eye on it without getting shot

^yeah, ghost + tac insert are a good combo to get it. If you're going to "give away" a sentry gun, it's a good idea to throw it out in the open so the person doesn't have to run around to find a good place to set it.
