I've been waiting to play a new Dragon Quest for the longest time (never had a PS2). The idea of a linear progression with a FP sword fighting system isn't quite what I had in mind. Hopefully it will be good.

nintendo fans have been deprived of rpg's since the SNES. instead we get cop outs like this and crystal chronicles. i nearly shit when i played tales of symphonia. it was my first console rpg since mario rpg.

The N64 sucked for RPGs, but the Gamecube did pretty well.

I really like the Paper Mario series, but they're not traditional, party-based RPG's. They're also far too easy. In beating both Paper Mario games, I probably died twice.

Skies of Arcadia was okay. Unfortunately, though, just a port.

I liked Baten Kaitos, but it began to drag halfway through it. I only finished it for the sake of finishing it.

Never played Phantasy Star because I knew it would be the only game that utilized the gamecube modem and I didn't wanna lay down money for it.

Fire Emblem is more strategy than RPG. Tales was easily the best RPG on the cube, but then we didn't even get Tales of Legendia.

I miss the SNES days when we got Breath of Fire, Final Fantasy, Chrono Trigger, Lufia, Earthbound, and perhaps even more that escape me.

i hate hate hate the games with lots of dialog. i quit paper mario after like 15 mins b/c of all the talking. i play video games to have something to do, not to read. please tell me what other games are like that so i can stay away from them.

seems like the prices are dropping on ebay, maybe it is just early in the morning, but there were consoles going for 265, that were not bid on, seems like you could get one for about 300 with shipping now, which is down about 35-40 bucks from saturday

I just went by Best Buy in Cary and they had almost 10 copies of Wii Play on the shelf for those of you interested.
