I am starting to get extremely frustrated that the vast majority of suggestions I make to improve our work flow, products or anything else are 1) totally ignored, 2) vetoed for crap reasons, or 3) met with enthusiasm in theory and then in practice --> 1. 8/26/2010 2:19:30 PM |

I hate this job sometimes. We have a search engine on our site that consistently gives outdated information, then customers get pissy with me when I can't sell them tickets for the price found on the website. If you have a problem with it, take it up with the airlines that constantly change their prices throughout the day 11/8/2010 2:46:02 PM |

My office has a raised floor for running electrical/telecom wiring (the entire office, for some reason), and it's so shitty that the entire thing vibrates any time somebody walks by. Since most people are heavy with their steps, your day can go from a mild vibration (monitors shaking slightly) to a god damn earthquake (like seat going up and down and monitors shaking and bumping into each other). The larger individuals are some of the worst offenders.
It's also kind of funny that they didn't upgrade our chairs or ever bother to get the right monitor stands for us after the expansion. Both things were promised. I don't really care that much, but corporate politics are annoying sometimes. 11/8/2010 7:32:48 PM |

Someone sends me something to edit. I do. I send it back. Later on they realize they need to change something, or they need to use much of the same text in another place. They make their changes to the original and send it back, telling me they made changes and could I please look at it again to make sure nothing else needs to be changed. Usually nothing new needs to be changed, but I have to make the same edits I made before again. 11/11/2010 2:15:11 PM |

when this older lady's computer does not immediatly respond to her mouse clickings, she'll tap her mouse on the desk in 2-tap bursts. She did this 4 times within a minute today. That has quickly become the most annoying sound I've ever come across. I just want to grab the mouse out of her hand, slap her with it a couple of times, and say "1) Doing that is not going to speed your shit up. 2) Your farmville is not going to destruct without your immediate attention." 11/11/2010 2:33:48 PM |

The main door to our office suite has this stupid ass doorbell chime that goes off automatically every time the door is opened.
We have a side door that makes no sound, and is just as easy to get in and out of (leads to the same hallway), yet half the doofuses in here exclusively use the main door, which means that doorbell haunts my dreams. 11/18/2010 3:21:10 PM |

All of 4 people in the entire office today, myself included, and someone two doors down is on the LONGEST, LOUDEST SPEAKERPHONE CONFERENCE CALL I've ever heard. They have a door, it isn't shut.
Look for someone else posting here in a few minutes:
All of 4 people in the entire office today, myself included, and someone two doors down is playing music so loud that it is interfering with my conference call that is on speakerphone.

im sure it's been posted before (prob even by myself) but:
-People who leave their phone at their desk all day with the ringer on full blast. -People who leave their ringer on loudly at work, keep it with them, and just look at their phone when it rings but don't silence the call and don't do anything about the volume -People who leave their phone on vibrate but leave it on their metal or wooden desk all day so it is just as loud as if the ringer was on
Seriously, the amount of annoyances relating to cell phone etiquette is ridiculous in the workplace it seems like. 11/24/2010 12:48:12 PM |

No, it's that we have publications on our site that don't exist anymore, and that people keep leaving public comments when they think they are e-mailing the story to a friend. Yes, they are stupid for doing it, but they are still doing it, and I think there is something we can do to help. 12/3/2010 3:46:53 PM |

Sounds like my work. I keep getting a message popping up in my system and when I ask my boss what it means she just goes, "Well I don't know what that means, but I guess it's not important."
I will not be surprised AT ALL if we end up accruing fines because of whatever this message means. This is why you should train people before piling on a bunch of responsibilities they've never been trained for 12/3/2010 3:55:00 PM |
