Gabe King has been talking about Cal the whole time. Last i heard was that he had Cal and UNCCH at the top, but he'd be crazy to go to UNCCH, all they have are DE's over there. Makes sense now that Cal is at the top by itself. 6/16/2009 4:27:04 PM |

Cann should be announcing at 11:30 today. All indications say USC.
Don't listen to anything ^^ says. He is an idiot. He is the same guy who said 'name them' after the junior and senior starters on the UNC team were named in the original post of the same thread.

Like hershculez said it looks like Cann is announcing his decision sometime today. Its between UNC and SC.
According to JC Shurburtt of ESPN Daunte Carr's friend and teammate Tai-ler Jones (who we also recruited) is committed to Stanford who also happen to be in Carr's top 5. Hopefully he won't influence his decision too much.
JC Shurburtt also reported a few days ago that it likely Donovan Tate will be passing on his commitment to UNC to play pro ball for the San Diego Padres after being drafted number 3 overall. 6/17/2009 10:18:39 AM |

Mangram's from GA anyways so it's plus-minus one for the NC count.

The thing that I like from this highlight vid is that he seems to always be under control. His footwork seems pretty good, so I bet he rarely gets knocked down by opposing d-linemen.

Yeah bad memory on my part. I remember that he had offers from South Carolina and Clemson, so that was probably one reason why I thought he was from SC.
^ well he's 6-3 and will either be playing guard or center for us. that's normal height for those two positions. tackle is where you would like for players to be in that 6-5 to 6-8 range.

Local standout selects NC State
Jacey Zembal TheWolfpacker.com Editor
Anthony Creecy couldn't think of a better way to celebrate Father's Day, then to give his family the gift of making his college decision.
The running back/wide receiver prospect from Southern Durham High in Durham, N.C., ended his recruiting process Sunday by selecting NC State over the likes of Duke, Wake Forest, Virginia Tech, and nearly 25 other colleges that offered him, The Wolfpacker has confirmed.
"My family was just real happy and everyone is going crazy," Creecy said.
Creecy was able to tell NC State coach Tom O'Brien face-to-face of his plans.
"Coach O'Brien was going crazy," Creecy said. "I made the commitment directly to him, so he was really happy too. I could tell that he wanted it to happen today. He was talking about doing it on Father's Day and all that. He was like, 'I've had a great Father's Day.' It just seemed to be a perfect day to do it."
Creecy had always maintained during the recruiting process that NC State was his leader. The Wolfpack were the first school to offer him a scholarship.
"It just felt right, and I went out there [to NCSU], and we were talking about it after the camp, and they wanted me to commit," Creecy said. "I knew they had some other recruits like Robert Crisp. I went to some other schools on some trips I took, and they just didn't fit what I wanted it to be. The offensive schemes were just not what I wanted to be in."
Creecy caught 48 passes for 863 yards and five touchdowns as a junior at Southern Durham. Rivals.com rates him as a four-star prospect and the No. 170 player in the country, No. 9 in North Carolina and No. 28 wide receiver.
The Wolfpack recruited Creecy with the option of playing running back and wide receiver.
"The offensive schemes were what I wanted to play in," Creecy said. "I knew NC State was where I wanted to be. I started thinking about my decision and everything felt so good.
"They want to have me get guarded by a lot of linebackers and safeties [in the passing game], and they talk about how versatile I am," Creecy said. "I don't really have a set position or favor one."
NCSU running backs coach Jason Swepson recruited Creecy, and originally planned to make a college decision next January. However, he also almost committed to NC State in June of 2008, but decided to back off that plan.
"NC State was my first offer and that makes it even better," said Creecy.
Creecy participated in the Shrine Bowl combine in Butler High in Matthews, N.C., on April 22, and checked in at 6-foot and 200 pounds with 40-yard dash times of 4.55 and 4.58 seconds. His best shuttle on a difficult gymnasium floor was 4.67 seconds, and he had a 27.6-inch vertical leap. He also benched pressed 185 pounds 15 times.
Creecy becomes the sixth member of NC State's Class of 2010.
"I want to go and recruit a whole lot of players," Creecy said. "I want everyone to get ready for the next season."

Reid Webster committed to Clemson today:
Touted offensive lineman Reid Webster accepts offer from Clemson
Offensive tackle Reid Webster, a 6-foot-5, 270-pound prospect from Etowah (Woodstock, Ga.), has become Clemson's seventh pledge for the Class of 2010.
Webster, who has drawn 18 offers, also considered Miami-Florida, Florida State and Mississippi. Among others were Oklahoma State, Oregon, Indiana, Louisville, North Carolina State, Wake Forest, Vanderbilt, Central Florida and Air Force.
He told ESPN affiliate Web site TheClemsonInsider.com, "I just talked it over with my parents. Clemson is real close so my dad can come see all of my games. They have a good business school. Clemson is just the right place for me."
Additionally, it does not appear Webster will waiver on his decision, "(My commitment) is firm. I am 100-percent Tiger." 6/22/2009 8:09:11 PM |
