What do you guys use for FB on the iPad? The FB app or a browser? I used to use a browser, then I switched to the FB app. Still love the app, but it has become quite slow lately. Every time there are new stories in my feed while I am browsing my feed, the whole device freezes up for 5-30 sec while it updates the feed. Same thing when I click on a pic in my feed, it either takes a long time for the pic to load (and freezes the whole device), or it takes a long time when I swipe the pic up to go back to the feed.

Do tablets become slow and unresponsive like laptops with heavy use over time? With a laptop you can format your hard disk and re-install the OS. What should I do with the iPad to make it as fast as it used to be?

I hate facebook on the iphone and ipad. I use the browser on the ipad.

So Airplay doesn't work with my ipad and AppleTV when I'm trying to use my HBOGo app. Pretty frustrating. Had to watch Game of Thrones on my laptop last night.

Anyone else have this particular issue? It only stops working once I try to watch a video on that particular app.

Of the app?

It works fine on its on. Only when I try to use airplay does it not work (error message comes on TV and it basically just pauses on the ipad...hit play over and over again and it goes back to pause).

The new app came to download today. A little weird but you get use to it, just like every new version of FB.

I have to setup an exchange account on an iPad this weekend, shouldn't be difficult should it? I'm not gonna need a 3rd party app, am I?

Not difficult. Don't need a 3rd party app.

if the exchange server is setup for it, you probably will just have to enter your email and password

Anyone happen to know why after months of working fine my Ipad hdmi adapter would suddenly give me an accessory not supported error when plugged in?

Probably means it shit the bed (technical term). Is it an Apple adapter? If so, you might have luck getting a replacement at the Apple store.

Mine did the same thing. If you prop the iPad up so lthe connection is at a slight angle it might work, that's what I had to do (much like cell phone charger/ports going bad)

Good deal (IMO), on a logitech keyboard/ipad cover:

http://www.logitech.com/en-us/product/solar-keyboard-folio?crid=1240

Normally $130, but going for $50 right now. The lady has been begging for a keyboard for the ipad, so I was looking and found this. We also needed a new cover, so I guess this do the job for that as well.

^ Got that in last week and so far it's been great. Fiancee hate's using the touchscreen keyboard...and although I didn't think it was a big deal, using the new logitech keyboard has been awesome. Now I'm more likely to keep the laptop closed while I'm at the house and use the ipad for emails and such.

The combo case is fairly nice as well. Good 2-in-1 deal.

I've had this happen. Turn the apple tv on using the remote or the remote app, then airplay to it.

Glad the new mini isn't going to be worse performance wise, wish the price wasn't going up though.

I am still going to get one but I am asking for it for Christmas so the price increase doesn't hit my pocket exactly, it is still the principle of the thing though.

I still don't "get" 7" tablets, unless you don't have a ~10" tablet already

blazing fast A7, light weight, retina display, iOS 7 (from a development perspective, it's great, much better than Android, not sure about Widows 8). I've had a big iPad for a while and it's been great, however, i find after getting a MBP with SSD (and retina) i tend to use the iPad less. I think i'd get better versatility out of the new iPad mini and a nice MBP.

I get the versatility advantages of being more portable than a Macbook or even a 10" tablet (barely), and obviously being better for watching tv, movies, etc than a phone, but to me getting a 7" tablet while already owning a 10" tablet is like getting a new HDTV thats only 25"

obviously anyone should buy and use what they want to, I just think bigger is better when it comes to tablet displays, which you might agree with, but I don't see a 7" tablet as being that much more portable than a full sized tablet. Neither is going to fit in your pocket.

The 7" form factor is way better in my opinion. It's much easier to hold in one hand and easier to carry around. Although I use my 5.5" Note II for everything. Got rid of the iPad and Nexus 7. Found out I was just using my phone all the time. I think for me to actually use a tablet again I'd have to get a much smaller phone and a 7" tablet.

I felt the same way until I played around with a mini one day and I loved how it felt. So much lighter, thinner, easier to hold with one hand, etc. I don't use my full size ipad for anything but web browsing and playing games so the screen size isn't better if bigger necessarily. Also, it is a lot better for games like gta that have touch controls where the bug one feels clunky.

If you had a chance to buy a new iPad 3 with LTE that's 64gb for 400 bucks, would you do it? I'm debating using it for the T-mobile deal, but not sure if i want to spend 400 bucks on it. Considering how much Apple charges for storage is just crazy..

just got a new Air and I am normal a no-case or a minimal case as possible guy, but I definitely need to get one for this thing. Almost seems too thin, too delicate. Acase made the case that I had for my old iPad but I dont think they have one out for the Air yet... any suggestions?

I had a iPad 3 and havent really noticed that big of a performance change but I just got it last night.

If it's pre iOS 7, you can do a DFU restore of the firmware that will wipe out all the old settings including the passcode. If it's on iOS 7 or greater that won't work anymore.

Yes, I know I can google this.

How can I delete pics from my iPad, taken with the iPad's camera. The pics are taking up too much space, and I have backed them up on to my laptop, but they can't be erased or cut-pasted, only copy-pasted.

I don't want to delete thousands of pics by selecting them one by one on the iPad itself.

^^^ yep, it's post-iOS 7

I wiped it clean to factory settings, but it was still asking me for some iCloud shit before I could continue with set-up. Hopefully the dude responds to his email and erases the ipad from his cloud
