What do you think Smart is getting groomed for?? He was Donovan's and Purnell's main recruiting coach.

And I was never a big Capel fan. He was never an assistant under K or any other coach at a high major program. Was not surprised to see him fail at Oklahoma.

The more I read about Smart, the more I really want to like the guy. I imagine with his recruiting background and our resources, it wouldn't be hard for him to put together some great classes. If he beats Self, maybe I'll be on board. If he loses respectably, I'll at least change my "Fuck Shaka" status.

I'm slowly boarding the Smart train as well. Simply because if he turns out to be legit, picking him up at such a young age would be incredible.

I see him connecting with guys like Harrow and Leslie on the same level that Sidney did, but hopefully he would know what to do with them.
