well we know he went through with the marriage, but we know he is no longer married when he gets on the plane, cause he tells that one girl in the airport bar that he was married but isnt anymore

well he sorta adlibbed his vows at the actual wedding, but we didnt actually hear him say "i do", so maybe not?

speaking of michelle rodriguez, did anyone see her in this episode. I think I saw her name was on the opening credits? I might have spotted her hiding behind Steve during Jack's speech

i thought i saw michelle rodriguez, too, near who i think who was steve(with a sweet, neatly trimmed beard) when jack was talking to everyone at the caves, but it wouldnt make any sense that we wouldnt have seen her and jack re-acquaint* each other during their stay on the island.

and maybe, the island was quarantined from desmond, as opposed to the other way around.

i hope dez didnt hurt kate, otherwise i will kill him. desmond gained some lbs and i dont think he is in any sort of shape for a run around the world.

*by re-acquainting, i mean that knowing jack is a man of science, he wouldve clearly porked M-Rod by that point in time

michelle rodriguez's character was sitting in the last row of the plane and we as of yet don't know what happened to the back half after the crash. So it would make sense that in an episode coming soon they find survivors from the rear part of the plane and M.R. is with them.

So, i just watched the entire Season 1 dvd set this past week, and I watched the Season 2 opener tonight. I'm totally up to date on everything, but in Season 1, when Boone received his fatal injury, did anyone hear what the person on the other end of the walkie-talkie said?

He said something like "We're survivors of Flight 815" and the person on the other end said "We're survivors too"...

The answer is obvious:

Wal-Mart.

But the real question is how is he getting to Wal-Mart?

Lost - the Steriods?

Maybe the numbers on the stuff Desmond shot into his arm, the numbers on the hatch, and the quarantine on the inside of the hatch are all connected to some experiment maybe?

Or maybe the island is full of "hatches" (and the numbers on the hatch are the address) and it's an experimental underground future city like Walt Disney envisioned with EPCOT. I mean it had part of a geodesic sphere (well, a geodesic dome at least) like Spaceship Earth!

You could be on to something.. What if this whole thing is just one big set up by an entertainment industry? What if the company behind it screwed with each of their personal lives (as in the flashbacks), got them all together on the same plane, and then crashed them on the island-- just for entertainment purposes? After jack saw desmond on the island, it made me think that desmond is in on the conspiracy, and that maybe all the technology down in his bunker (cameras, computers, etc.) could be for documenting/recording what the islanders are doing.

I guess this theory could go in the same category as the "government experiment" theory. Both scenarios would really piss me off, but they could be true...

holy balls I DVR'd this tonight b/c we were playing some Halo 2 & I just watched it...AMAZING!

I hate this only comes on once per week. There's so many questions about that lab I don't know where to start.

However, I have never, ever, ever seen an "Execute" key on a keyboard

Maybe the medicine is some kind of antidote that everyone else has been exposed to on the island.

Can anyone make out what Walt was saying? It made it seem like he wanted her to be quiet.

The magnet explains why Locke's compass is broken. We can guess that he hit execute an hour or so before they blew the hatch. So what was going on an hour or so before the hatch blew?

(geez, that scene with walt is kinda freakn' me out)

hes got a lifetime of shit under there. plently of everything.

why? how? hes got money bc hes got the numbers, but since they are cursed he wants to avoid the bad effects by sequestering himself

problem is, the bad luck keeps sucking people in. to the island, to his little refuge.

i dont know how the whisper virus fits in though.

Alright, so here's a theory I just cooked up.

I didn't think that the guy inside looked like desmond. Locke seemed pretty calm for some reason. So that got me thinking. Desmond had an Austrailian accent. What if he was on the flight in the back of the plane (Austrailian guy going home, makes sense) and he and jack never saw each other while boarding etc....Locke and company blow the hatch. Guy inside is surprised and doesn't know what is coming so he flies the coupe (obviously there's another way in/out b/c he ain't moving stuff through the hatch). Back of the plane survivors (Desmond) hears the explosion and goes to investigate. Meanwhile Jack, Locke, Kate, and Hurley go back to the caves. Desmond arrives at open hatch. Goes in to investigate (how i'm not sure). Locke shows back up w/ Kate. Surprised he ties up kate and questions Locke. Locke finds out who he is and is therefore calm. Then jack shows up.

This kinda fits the mold of the story so far. Now the writers don't have to explain what the living quarters in the hatch is or why it's there. Plus it ain't the first time 2 survivors have crossed paths before the crash. So is this it? I dunno.

I saw a lot of sunlight too

and if I recall

didnt they blow the hatch at night??

The truman show thing is out the window. They wouldnt be using 800 year old equipment if that was the case. I wonder what he was typing on the computer. I dont suppose he was typing those numbers and transmitting them out?

they didn't show anyone on the raft...
however, when shannon was looking for vincent (the dog) all of a sudden she saw walt standing in the jungle soaking wet...and he whispered something, or something...and then sayid appeared with the dog and she looked back and walt wasn't there anymore...
so she went back to camp and told people she saw walt and some people were scared something had happened to the raft..but most didn't believe it

i taped it last night and am going to watch it again later

I just watched the last 15 minutes over. The part with Jack and the girl who could wiggle her toes (wasn't paralyzed) was really powerful.

And the look on his face and expression of Jack when that song came on in the hatch was priceless. "Make your own kind of music.."

they said the status of all the castaways will be revealed in next weeks episode, so whether they wash ashore or not, we'll know where they are
i wonder if that means we'll know about walt too

the guy with the gun to locke's head was definitely desmond

i'm sure it will be online
but it SOUNDS like it is backwards to me
so, if someone has it downloaded, use a program to grab the audio and flip it around
but like i said, i'm sure one of the spoiler/discussion sites will hve it, if they don't already

wasnt the other person who died in the accident the driver of the SUV that caused the accident? The way I took it was that Jack decided to save the 'innocent' person in the accident. He didnt phase when the dude said 'we're losing him', then a few seconds later pronounced him dead.

on another note I really think dude was typing the numbers on the keyboard at the beginning of the episode. He hit space a lot (between numbers) and always seemed to go back to the top of the keyboard.

I think it is amazing how some people catch all the numbers anytime they appear.
When the guy was riding the bike, opening the safe, etc.. i wasn't even paying attention to the numbers.
I put my ear close to the speaker when Walt was talking and it sounded like he said, help me shannon or help me rhonda or something.
