if you liked the first two spidermans you'll love this one...

better action sequences, cooler villians (none of that shiny plastic look), funnier parts too

^ yeah, I'm definitely in that boat. I'm a huge Marvel/ Spiderman fan, but I was really really let down with the first one. The Green Goblin has always been my favorite storyline/ villain, and I hated the way he was handled (visually and story-wise) in the movie. I really loved the second Spiderman movie though.

All I know is that I can't come back to this thread until after I've seen it this Friday. I've potentially already read too much with someone in this thread saying that the first 30 minutes alone are pure awesome.

4 showings sold out at the Imax so far..
Midnight showing tomorrow, 7:30 and 10:10 showing for Friday, and 7:10pm showing for Saturday.
I better go ahead and get a ticket for saturday.

The second movie was a "better" movie than the first, but it wasn't really the movie that I wanted to see.

There is something really nifty about it, though. If you watch the second movie very carefully, you will notice that Spider-Man has a very brief cameo in between Peter Parker having a crappy life. Make sure you don't blink or you might miss it.

i liked the second one a lot more than the first as well. I always thought the first one was kinda cheesy.

But the third I liked even more. Like I said, I only got to see the first 90 minutes (it's like 135 minutes long)

2nd>1st

to me it's because he was still new to his powers in the first one and still getting used to it all...usually the hardcore backstory/heros get their powers movies aren't that great (which is why I'm hoping fantastic 4: rise of silver surfer will be better than the first)

I'm getting sick of the grandma already. that's what I didn't like about the second one. there was too much of the grandma.
and I think the 3rd one will have even more of her life lessons. but the 3rd one is still gonna be friggin sweet.

For the midnight showings, are the concessions open?

so remember when i said, i watched the first 90 minutes of it and it was awesome....
i guess i left at just the right time, because the last hour of it basically sucked.

"funny" scenes were lame, the fights at the end weren't even as good as in the beginning of the film, and to top it off there are so many cliche scenes I started to feel sick.

This movie had so much potential. Flint Marko turning into the sandman was awesome. Him adjusting to his new "talent" was really well done. The scene in wich spiderman removes the venom alien was good, but could have been better.

They could have just titled this film Emo-man. Sam Raimi dropped the ball with the last half of this film. What sucks is for the last week I've been anticipating the rest of this film.

Everyone that I watched it with laughed at how stupid the ending got. What about you guys?

the actors said they would do more, but only had planned to do 3 and aren't currently planning on more

unless you have proof that Sony has 6 lined up

EDIT: the Lizard was kind of a minor villain and it seems you're implying the symbiote causes his transformation which is just wrong

just because the symbiote might cause it and that it's wrong in the comics doesn't mean that they won't make that happen in the movies...it's a damn movie, it's probly gunna be changed somewhat..i dont know..somethign could happen to make him thje lizardl....just thought it was interesting

i mean they had 3 year contracts, so it's not like they are finished..i'm sure they will be in it..but who knows...i agree that if the symbiote is in it it'll be carnage or venom...but i just think the dr. connors guy is significant for the future of the films
