so a fun little glitch...

I was playing miami, I was up by one with 30 seconds or so to go, they are kicking a 40 yard field goal.

I block the kick, but they recover and run it in for a touchdown.

Then the game attempts to make me kick an extra point from my own 5 yard line after they scored.

And when my hail mary fell a bit short, I had to kick off to them.

I have no idea how that worked out.

I'm a little underwelmed, if they had just given me the create a team option I would have been a lot happier, not that I don't like playing as state but I want to start from scratch in dynasty

look, if you want to play dynasty or just have some fun playing against your friends then get it...100% get it if youre a ncaa football fan...come play me if you want to see it for yourself...i enjoyed, i played my friend earlier...nd at va tech. he won with nd 35-34 (he blocked the extra point when i scored in the last minute to tie) so i have enjoyed the game for the games that i have played so far...nothing seems repetitive yet as in plays or the way the game plays. i like when youre running they turn around and look at the players chasing them from behind. to me, i think theyve added little things like this to the 360 at the cost of other things such as create-a-team and other things that the ps2/xbox versions have. again, i recommend it but if youre more of madden guy then wait for madden and see...

I picked up the game yesterday...I was impressed.

Graphics are nice. Stadiums are cool.


I won my first game 49-9 with the Gators over Southern Miss. Leak was the only player i created though, I need to get the rosters. I also dont know what the default settings were, but it was way easy.

and the default setting is varsity, AA is a noticible step up, heisman is raw

i dont wanna start my dynasty til

i tried doing that bowling game by passing hail marys every time and having the 2nd player run a Blitz C while taking the middle safety and running to one side so I could always score touchdowns

well i bowled a 300 on varsity difficulty that way and didnt get the achievement?

also demario pressley is a beast

anyone blocked a kick yet? I blocked a 25 yard field goal attempt and ran it back for a touchdown.


the new kicking controls are better/more realistic, too, especially on onside kicks, where the ball bounces based on where on the ball you kick it

if i'm playing with State, is my best bet for blocking a FG or extra point to play as DeMario and try to jump the snap or play as the Free Safety and try to run up and jump at the middle?

also i figure i can block a punt though i havent done it yet...Punt Block defense and get a good jump with one of the guys on the edge right?

i blocked a punt and field goal in the demo...it can be done, basically to block a punt just so punt block and hopefully the computer doesnt recognize that or the person youre playing and you will be sending 10 men while they only have 8 to block and try to jump the snap...

so im available right now and tonight for anyone that wanted to do the roster deal...

what are you talking about 3rd person mode? do you want it to turn into a FPS or something? the views arent really any different than any other NCAA football game, except for the zoom distances perhaps...are you used to 2K or something?

They call it "third person mode". Instead of the top-down view that you get 99% of the time from the game, after a kickoff the camera goes right behind your punt/kick returners head so you can't see anything on the screen.

But if you do one of the punt returning drills, everything is the way it used to be. It makes no sense, it's just annoying as fuck.

i have no idea what youre talking about? are you playing the 360 version? there is no view from the top...its the same view the whole time for me on the 360 version...im pretty sure there isnt an angle where youre like in first person view from the returners' point of view...

I know exactly what view he is talking about, the camera is right behind the kick returner and you have NO field vision whatsoever.
