I was definitely impressed with Avery this year. Not extremely surprised, because he was a great floor general when he was with San Antonio and produced a lot with his small amount of talent, but I still didn't expect him to do this well.
Kudos to Avery.6/21/2006 1:09:50 PM |

^^i cant argue with that....go panthers...however, it may surprise you, but there are actually some people that dont pull a 180 as soon as a player leaves college ball for the nba...some people actually like basketball enough to want to talk about the world (national) championship...hey you remember that guy Josh Powell? I heard he went to State...I think he may've been on the Mavericks...but once he left State he was dead to me...he went from a scholar athlete to a thug, because he's in the NBA...you know how that works right

I was thinking last night that if Josh Powell was actually playing in the playoffs, then I might have to cheer for the Mavs. But it didn't happen, so I was saved.6/21/2006 1:26:06 PM |

i was thinking that since im from charlotte and the hornets and heat were rivals i would never ever ever cheer for the heat 6/21/2006 1:47:58 PM |

<<< Cheers for the Heat
<<< Huge Bobcats fan.
<<<Realizes the Bobcats won't be serious contenders for a few more years
<<<Has no problem rooting for the Heat while having allegiance to the Bobcats.
^Should try this too. 6/21/2006 1:56:54 PM |

why should i cheer for the heat? i'm not saying you should cheer for dallas...neither of those teams really mean anything to me but there are a few things i kept in mind:
1. while i'm a bobcats fan, i used to be a charlotte hornets fan...and the heat and hornets were rivals...came into the league the same year...2nd game first season rony seikaly and some hornet got into a fight...never liked the heat...its not quite like the state unc rivalry...but real Charlotteans dont forget stuff like that
2. fuck alonzo...sure he was a hornet and you can blame shinn for giving LJ too much money and not having enough for Zo...but I cant have sympathy for somebody who turns down our 50 million dollar offer for a 60 million dollar offer...not saying i wouldnt have taken more money too...but as a hornets fan at the time i said fuck him...and sure i do have sympathy for his medical problems that he's had...but i dont factor that in one way or the other
3. there are very few NCSU players in the NBA...powell is one of them...gotsta pull for the Pack 6/21/2006 2:00:58 PM |

Powell was actually dressed for the games unitl Mbenga came back from suspension.
They would have gone over the roster limit so Powell was taken off of the active player list 6/21/2006 2:32:37 PM |

I'm sure Kobe is killing for Garnett now, also I am sure he would like a three point shooter like Redick. 6/21/2006 7:14:19 PM |

I'm sure Kobe would like a point guard.
A point guard who doesn't and won't shoot the ball often.
Kobe wants Rajon Rondo 6/21/2006 8:21:14 PM |
