ok, so we have Hedican, Commodore, Hutchinson, Babchuk, Tverdovsky, Wallin and Kaberle on the team next season. That's 7 defensemen right there, so we'll probably only need 1 more, either Sean Hill or Danny Markov would be good, but I doubt we can afford either.

I love Danny Markov, but I don't think he'd be the best option for us because of his tendency to get hurt a lot. He spent a decent chunk of Nashville's season bein' hurt, which greatly diminished his effectiveness for them.

so basically pittsburgh settled for Eaton at 1.6 million as a cheaper alternative to Spacek and Markov, which means we won't be resigning Markov for under 2 million dollars, which probably means we aren't resigning Danny Markov.

Definately a good thing to get Cole back, as he is one of the premier players in the league. I would like to see the Canes go out and get a solid defenseman now. Markov would be ideal, but there might be someone else out there that can do the same job for a cheaper price.

I wouldn't predict a guy's career based on 2 games played after coming back from a broken neck. Also, it was the finals and I thought he looked damn good and created a lot of scoring chances considering his situation.

he was the best player on the ice for the canes in game 6, so i dont know how you can think he was shakey

HAHAHHHAHAHHAAHAH

everyone else was making plays and feeding him the puck in the 1st period. just becuase it looks like he had a few chances doesnt mean he played well. thinking cole played well in g6 is probably what someone who only tuned into the final round of the playoffs would say.
