I bought my first DVD player in 1998 for $250. A year later the price dropped to $150. Blu-Ray will do the same shit, so will HD-DVD. Give it a year and it will be cheap as shit to manufacture.

Damn, just as I clicked this thread I got an automated call from EB Games, and I was certain they were going to say my preorder was cancelled. But they just said Resistance will be in by tomorrow.

Here is what I know so far... They are calling everyone tommorow asking people who are willing to wait 1 extra week to the next friday when all of the preorders can be fufilled. People willing to wait 1 week will recieve any used game or dvd for 20 bucks. I turned it down and so he looked on the list and said that I am gauranteed 1 on launch because of my position ( 4 of 8) regardless of what others decide.

Well, there have already been reports on the certain audio problems with certain PS2 games, so yeah, it happenend. Plus, I'm also mad that you can't play Guitar Hero on the PS3. I just got it.

I was at EB Games in Brier Creek today, and the guy said his store was getting 6 of the good systems and 2 of the shitty ones. He said Wal Mart was getting 8 good ones each, and Best Buy was getting 12. But who the fuck knows if any of that is accurate.

I went by Best Buy in Cary about 25 minutes ago on my lunch break.

There were ~10 people standing in line with chairs and tents and stuff when I went in.

it is... people are just trying to make money off ebay... so they are willing to wait a few days for a chance at 500 bucks.... they should have done there research and gotten preorders... i have 3 , 2 of which i will get on launch day 1 of which i will have to wait a week or more until they get the next shipment.... but if nothing else selling the first 2 at launch will be enough to cover the 3rd if I keep it ( which will only happen if i cant get more than regular price for it when i get it)

hahaha, sony sucks! if you have a hdtv that only supports 480p/480i/1080i, you wont be able to play games (made in 720p) in hd on the ps3! wow that sucks!

Damn that sucks. I just discovered my HDTV (which ironically is a Sony) doesn't support 720p. I had to set it to 1080i on my friend's Xbox 360 to see things.
