Hey...so I'm going to Chicago next week and my best friend who lives there (who I'll be staying with) just got a PS3 and we like to do nothing but play scary games and shit. Last time I was there we played Resident Evil for PS2 and we loved it. I know relatively little about the games available for any of the game systems, but we really want a game that is like Resident Evil....so suggestions?

actually, the blu ray player in the ps3 is probably the best one available.

the system just came out m2c so you have very limited options. most systems dont seem to launch with those types of games either. closest things i guess would be eternal darkness for gc and condemned for 360.

I have had one for about a week.

I have Madden 07 and NBA 2k7 for it. Madden is okay and NBA is pretty good, both need some tweaks because this is the first game but overall I like them.

My roommate just got a ps3. They had one 20 gig and one 60 gig at Southpoint Mall. I guess the other one is still there.

crossroads target had some the other day...just sitting there and nobody wanted them...

at this point last year 360s were still not on shelves, they were being bought as soon as they were put up and still selling for way more than retail

The MotorStorm demo is addictive. Ive probably played it 20 times and never finished in first. Got second a bunch of times, but never won the whole thing.

went to best buy to get guitar hero II today and was screwing around on the PS3 demo unit. looked on the floor tucked in a corner next to the display and chairs and there was a ps3 box. pikced it up to check out the contents (as I thought it was just the case from the display unit) and lo and behold it was heave...and unopened. so i scored a 60GB without waiting, looking, hunting, or even asking

loving it now....great graphics....can't wait for the big titles to hit...hell, the motorstorm demo has entertained for hours

yeah, i was dying to find a system that was in the lowest quality HD, can't play DVD's (not to mention any form of high def), and has about jack shit for anything I'd ever want to play (fuck it, half the top rated games on gamespot right now are fucking re-releases like f-zero and SMB), but they were all sold out of those so I had to settle for a PS3 that has, you know, more than 2 titles that people who arten't tweens will want to play

it's cool and all, and if it ever drops to $100 bucks it might be worth it. but it's a kiddie system just like the gamecube. I'm not going to drop $250 for one or two games

Man, I wish I had a ps3. I'm dying to get a system that is going to set me back 600 bucks, has a shitty knockoff controller, looks like a george foreman grill, will have expensive ass games, and has third party developers running for the hills.

Its a good thing I have my Wii to tide me off till I can find a ps3.

It's a good system....I havnt had any hardware problems yet...so that's a plus.

The Blu Ray player is cool as hell...and I use my system as my dvd player now.

yeah, it does suck having a system that has all those features that need additional space in the console. i wish my PS3 couldn't do anything but play games, that way it could be much much smaller

i'm not saying the Wii doesn't look like it would be fun. but when i look back at the gamecube and realize in all those years there are maybe 3 titles I would have bought, I'm in no hurry to get a Wii.

although I have to say I picture all the guys getting so excited about Wii sports looking like the fatass playing WoW on the South Park episode. It's like they can play sports but not actually have to exercise - fun!

You obviously have not ever played a wii. Otherwise, you would know that it IS excercise. Tennis will leave your arm sore and boxing will leave you tired and sweaty. I have a feeling that in a few months, we will hear that people are losing weight and shit with it just like they do with DDR. And your comment is ridculous since you back a console that has many sports games being a top seller (and you get much less excersize from those).

And its funny that you talk about lack of titles for the wii when you are comparing to the PS3. The PS3 does have some big titles exclusive to it, but you're gonna wait a while for them . . . and thats only if they don't jump ship and become multiplatform. Hmm, MGS has been pretty exclusive to Sony for a while. I wonder how on earth they persuaded Nintendo to put Snake in their mascot game. You think some form of exchange was made perhaps? I love speculation .
