the way I did it was start with a full lap and then increase by .5 miles every week

also, buy an ironman watch and record your time, everytime, and make a log

i did analysis at first, but now it just keeps me honest and I can see if I had a "good run" or not

I take the longer way around the loop where the 2.75 mile marker is. A good run is 23:xx. A bad run is 25:xx. PB last year was 22:48.

Having to knock those Mulsim women who walk 3-wide and don't get the fuck out of the way adds about 10 seconds.
