I haven't seen any Titaniums since the Starscream/RiD Prime wave hit. I think TRU and Wal Mart are the only places even carrying them now, and they don't ever seem to get anything new anymore

North Raleigh Target (Capital & Millbrook) has some movie deluxes out. I got the last Brawl, but there are two each of Bonecrusher (not a fan) and Swindle (who has no head). Brawl looks great, but he has issues.

The female parts of the ball joints on the little mini turrets aren't deep enough, so they pop off every four seconds (it actually looks better without them, but then you have ball joints on the tank turret), and the little tabs that hold the arms on to the torso don't stay put (though I can't tell if they're supposed to be a stress joint or not, so I don't know if I should file them). I've also got a big piece of molding sprue that keeps my secondary turret from turning smoothly.

Like I said, though, he looks damn good.

Other than that, I think it's just the '74 and '08 Camaros in deluxe size.

Holy wow.

That Grimlock shot was fantabular.

I almost cried when I saw the new trailer. There's a yellow VW Bug next to the Camaro Bumblebee, for christ's sake. PRIME MAKES THE TRANSFORMING SOUND. Plus, what looks like Bonecrusher can apparently skate on pavement, and what's not to love about that?

I was at the Cary Wal-Mart today, and they had on the shelf one each of all the Voyagers (Ironhide, Starscream, Blackout, & Ratchet). Ironhide looked kind of plain but the robot is supposed to be awesome. Ratchet was just plain ugly. Starscream had unforgivable kibble, including the robot head looking right through the packaging where the jet engines should be, and exposed chest details on the wing. I might buy it if they release it in Thundercracker colors, but that's it. Blackout is fucking LONG for a Voyager and looks totally awesome.

So I went to buy Blackout and Ironhide, and they told me they couldn't sell them until 6/2. I argued that I should be able to buy them since they were on the shelf, but to no avail.

So my friend went to the Cary Wal-Mart to check out the Voyagers, and he calls me and the first thing I hear out of the phone is "AUTOBOTS, TRANSFORM AND ROLL OUT!" in Cullen's voice. Apparently I was so enthralled with the Voyagers that I didn't even notice the Prime helmet on the bottom shelf. He said it's heavy, huge, and awesome, but that it (and the Voyagers that they put back on the shelf ) are all scanned as "do not sell."

Seeing it transformed makes me officially not want it now. It's almost like it's too complex solely for the sake of being too complex. The doors being held on by cables is not something I liked seeing. This definitely means that I have been completely spoiled by Binaltech/Alternators.

I got movie Jazz today, and I really think his robot mode is the best of the deluxes. The articulation is lacking, but he looks very heroic, and the lightpiping and transformation are awesome.

Ladies (yeah, right) and gentlemen, it begins.

Target at Crossroads has EVERYTHING out on the shelf and for sale.

Leader Prime, all four Wave 1 Voyagers, Voyager Prime, Fast Action Battlers, Scouts (Arcee, etc.), Cyber Slammers, Prime helmets, the plush transforming Prime & Bumblebee, Robot Heroes (little PVC figures in very cartoony G1 designs), etc.

The only things I didn't see were Optimash Prime (which is inexplicably off the shelf again at Walmart) and, of all things, the movie Deluxe figures...but I was there at 10:30 and they were still putting stuff out.

Hilarious. I got to the Target at Crossroads tonight at about 6:30 to find an employee removing all of the movie merchandise from the shelves. He did not look happy at all. I did get the chance to see all of it before it was being removed, though. While the Leader Optimus is interesting, it definitely ain't $45 interesting. I'd consider it for maybe $25. The sound effect and lights are just plain... annoying. Starscream was the only large-scale (Voyager, is it?) on the shelf, and it just plain sucks.

I did finally see pics of Megatron online. What the hell? I can't even tell what it's supposed to resemble. I know it's an alien thing, but this was a horrible design choice.

If I had just spent all morning putting up an entire aisle and endcap of merchandise and someone told me to take it down, knowing full well it'd have to go back up on Friday morning, I'd be pissed, too.

I knew I should've grabbed Blackout, though. Grr.

Walmart on Wake Forest Rd. has a half aisle of empty pegs already labelled for movie stuff with a sign that says "all new Transformers merchandise coming June 2," so it looks like every store will be well-stocked.

BTW, I think the Voyager Starscream sucks, too, but they're releasing a Thundercracker in wave 2 with G1 colors and a different head that looks quite a bit better.
