The nooses were not hung in the tree while some black kids were sitting under it. They were found in the tree the next morning after being hung there the previous night.

However, it can't be tried as hate crime since they did not vandalize public property...by which I mean destroy according to the document's definition. Maybe terp can verify.

If they just wanted to do a "hate crime" Then wouldn't it have made more sense to hang some nooses over near the bleachers where the majority of the black students sat? If anything, the blacks could have hung the nooses in the trees to intimidate the whites.

i wearing a black shirt at work today. nobody else is, or seems to know about it, though. prolly cause i work with a bunch of crackers.

i did notice some black folks wearing black outfits at the Safeway deli, when I was picking up my 2pc fried chicken meal for lunch.

i tried to catch their eye and give them the "solidarity" nod, but they didnt really look at me.

Do you know what I should be able to play ball with my buds anytime i want in downtown compton. If I take over the court and later get beat up on the street leaving the court people are going to be like...

No they should not have made an issue out if it. If they wanted to sit "under" the tree; then GO sit under the tree. If any other student (white) or otherwise harasses, threatens, or attacks you then go to the proper authorities and let them handle it. Addressing the administration about the tree and then having a "all black students sit under the tree to protest" is making an issue out if sitting under the tree
