Quote : | "JACKSONVILLE, FL -- A woman came to be with her friend during a DUI investigation, and wound up in jail for DUI.
Police say Victoria Viviano drove to the Neptune Beach site of her friend's DUI stop and went to speak with the friend.
When police told Viviano to return to her car, they saw her staggering as she walked.
The arresting officer finished the first DUI investigation and went to Viviano, who was in the driver seat of her car. As the two spoke, the officer smelled alcohol on her breath and saw that her eyes were bloodshot.
The officer asked Viviano to get out of her car, and as she did she moved slowly and used the car door for support.
He then read Viviano her rights and told her he was going to conduct a DUI investigation. The officer asked her to submit to a field sobriety test, and she accepted, then refused.
After more discussion, she accepted again, but didn't follow the directions. After repeated questioning, Viviano then refused to do the test.
She was then arrested for DUI and taken to jail." |

I've had folks with guns commit crimes in my presence, the instinct is to get to cover, not expose yourself and become a target by sitting upright in a vehicle and driving. Hell, the people could see you as a threat at that point because you can hit them. What you meant is that you lost control of your brain (And bowels) and did something stupid.
Oh wait, you meant that people don't have time to think about what over there motivation is. You know, "over there" motivation? Wait, what?!
Dude, it's "THEIR." THEIR MOTIVATION, NOT MOTIVATION "OVER THERE."
Tard 1: "It's there motivation."
Tard 2: "Where?"
Tard 3: "THERE!!"

wolfpackgrrr I wasn’t the only one, people were jumping in the back of the truck and I had a passenger. Other people were getting out of there as well. Cops did a great job of arresting all of the underage drinkers, yet the killers still got away. I agree perhaps hiding in my truck might have been safe, but then I think about what happened at VT where the murderer was looking for victims etc. you just never know.

Quote : | "Cops: Drunk School Bus Driver Passed Out at the Wheel With 30 Children on Board Wednesday, October 01, 2008
LOUDON, Tenn. — An East Tennessee school bus driver was charged with driving under the influence after her vehicle with 30 children inside was found stopped in the middle of a street.
Loudon Police Chief James Webb said 48-year-old Vicky Lynn Kwasny was found passed out behind the wheel Tuesday around 8 a.m. Webb said a blood alcohol test was administered but the results were not immediately available.
The Loudon County Emergency Management Agency noticed the bus stopped for an extended time, Webb said, and police were notified. No one was hurt.
Wayne Honeycutt, director of schools, said Kwasny has been a contract driver since last November with a clean record. He said she has had a background check and passed two drug screenings.
Honeycutt said an estimated 30 students were on the bus, 18 of them high school students and the rest from middle school or younger.
"I'm sure the younger kids were upset, especially when they saw their driver sick," he said.
Kwasny was taken to a hospital and then jailed where she remained Tuesday evening. A jail spokesman said there was no record that she had hired an attorney.
Honeycutt said Tuesday evening he did not know if she had an attorney, and school officials were hoping to talk to her in jail.
She will not drive any more until the school completes an investigation, Honeycutt said.
The students on the bus took another bus to school or were transported by parents.

Quote : | "Raleigh, N.C. — A Raleigh man has been charged with driving while impaired in a single-vehicle wreck that has forced the closure of all southbound lanes of Capital Boulevard at the Wade Avenue exit Sunday.
Paul Daniel Ashworth, 32, lost control of his 1994 Acura while driving in the far left southbound lane of Capital around 2:15 a.m., according to the wreck report. The car drifted over the left curb into the grass.
When Ashworth tried to regain control of the car, it skidded sideways into a large pole supporting an overheard sign, Raleigh police spokesman Jim Sughrue said. The pole and sign collapsed into the roadway.
The Acura skidded another 45 feet before stopping, the wreck report says.
Police have set up a detour from the right lane of Capital onto the Fairview Road exit. Traffic is being turned right onto the Fairview Road entrance ramp, which intersects with Capital south of the wreck.
Southbound lanes of Capital will be reopened when crews finish repairs to the sign.
Sughrue said that traffic volume was relatively light around 9:30 a.m.
The closure has affected access to northbound Wade Avenue, but traffic coming into downtown on southbound Wade Avenue should not be disrupted, Sughrue said.
A passenger in the Acura was taken to WakeMed to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Ashworth, of 2511-203 Cedar Forest Way, has been charged with DWI and driving with a revoked license.
Police administered an alcohol test, and Ashworth registered a 0.13 blood alcohol content level, according to the wreck report. He admitted to consuming several beers shortly before the wreck, the report says.
Ashworth's license was revoked in 1998, according to state Department of Correction records." |

As part of a plea deal, Stanley Kobierowski was sentenced Friday to one year probation, a $500 fine, 40 hours of community service and a one-year loss of his driver's license.
The 34-year-old Kobierowski was arrested after driving into a highway message board on Interstate 95. Authorities said he had the highest blood alcohol level ever recorded for anyone in Rhode Island who wasn't dead.
Police said Kobierowski registered a .489, then a .491, breathalyzer tests. The legal limit in Rhode Island is .08." |
