Once again I really don't see how anyone doesn't like Romo.....

He choked today, yes, but he is one of the best guys in the NFL.

Hate on bigmouths or troublemakers T.O., Pacman, or Roy E. Williams, but Romo doesn't deserve it.

Romo gets the hate because he failed as a leader and, thus, is most responsible for the loss. This is a public education in leadership for him. All the young QBs -- eli, rivers, cutler -- are going through a similar education.

The bottom line is that is that QBs are responsible for keeping a team together, and Romo didn't with his womanly approach.

The rest of america loves winners and hates losers, so it makes perfect sense that Romo is held accountable for lack of leadership.

I'll be the first to admit that fault from the game lays on him today.....but I still don't get the hate.

Does he fumble every time he gets hit??? This and his lacking play in the clutch are his main two faults.

People hate the Cowboys and he's one of the faces of the Cowboys

Plus he gets touted as one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL, yet he can't seem to win a game after November

It's not just Tony Homo, It's the whole make up if the Cowgirls that is fucked. In my opinion they mirror that POS owner. I am by no means an eagles fan, but I couldn't have been happier to see them make the Cowboys their bitch yesterday.

Chris Carter, when asked where he would start the 'rebuilding' in Dallas, said that TO would be the first to guy, at one point even saying, "I have a bullet with his name on it"

Wonder how he really feels

and has led some of the greatest comebacks ever, and has carried an offense with no running game and a patchwork O-line all year, and makes all players around him better and will go down at the greatest QB of all time baring injury and has won a Superbowl

^^^ not at all, its not like I am saying that Jamal Lewis is the greatest RB ever. Baring some injury or weird Barry Sanders early retirement, Manning will blow away all the records, including the total victories by a QB. The only thing that people said was holding him back (which I didnt agree with) was not winning a Super Bowl and that has now been taken care of...

^ just responding to your boy who brought it up first

Yeah, Bob Sanders won him a superbowl a few years ago and now he's assured of going down as one of the best ever.

But Brady's resume is just as impressive up to this point, and he has been much better in the playoffs when everything is on the line.

ah, so if Manning wins its that stellar, all-pro defense hes always had around him and not him at all, but if Brady wins its just Brady and not that horrible horrible New England defense... your logic is infallible

You are such a fucking retard.

and I KNEW this would happen, I called it on here "Ok, you dumbshits claim that Peyton not winning a super bowl is what will keep him from being the greatest, but as SOON as he does, you will claim he now needs two, and then three, and so on and so on"

Trent Dilfer > Marino!!!

Hmmm

The stats don't lie. Brady has been better when it counts.

Peyton Manning's lifetime playoff stats throwing to Marvin Harrison, Wayne, Clark, and Edge/Addai:
21 TD's, 17 INT

Tom Brady's lifetime playoff stats throwing mostly to David Givens, David Patten, Deion Branch, Reche Caldwell, and Jabar Gaffney:
25 TD's, 12 INT

Manning's postseason record: 7-7
Manning's postseason passer rating: 84.4
Manning's postseason comp%: 61.8

Manning's posteason opponents' winning percentage (regular season): .728

Brady's postseason record: 14-2
Brady's postseason passer rating: 88.5
Brady's posteason comp%: 62.7

Brady's postseason opponent's winning percentage (regular season): .779

So, to summarize the above numbers.... Brady has put up better numbers, against better competition, and has won far more often. Only the clueless would even hesitate to say that Brady is the better postseason quarterback.

Well say all you want about Manning - The biggest poster boy for can't get it done when it counts is Tony Homo and the Dallas Cowgirls. Manning has won a super bowl...Romo hasn't even been able to win a playoff game. No comparison, end of discussion.

^^ exactly (see point 6 below)

1. no one said anything about a better post season QB, we said BEST QB, but that isnt important

2. Does brady have a better team and thus won more? sure, no doubt, the colts have had a shitty defense for most of Mannings time there

3. You were insinuating that Manning had better receivers than Brady, well, I counter that they were better because of Manning. All players that dominated with Manning have dropped off after leaving. Stokley, Rhodes, Edge, Pollard etc. Manning is what made them that good (along with their own talent).

4. Bradys best year (by far, not even close) was when he got Moss, Welker, and Stalworth so your point doesnt count anyways.

5. If you have a good defense you dont have to do as much on offense, see point 2 above and would easily explain the very very small difference in these stats:
Manning's postseason passer rating: 84.4
Manning's postseason comp%: 61.8
Brady's postseason passer rating: 88.5
Brady's posteason comp%: 62.7

6. Your forgot to mention the "choke" by the Pats last year, at least as big as a choke as Manning has ever had

Do I think Brady is good? of course, hes really really good, easily one of the best of all time. But I think Manning is just as good, if not better, and I have NO doubt that if he had the Pats defense over the last 6 or so years that he would have won just as many Super Bowls as Brady if not more. If you think Manning has been "holding the poor Colts back from multiple super bowl victories" then you are a dumb bastard

LOL at Redskins fans once again in this thread trolling when their team fell apart more than the Cowboys and their owner is 10x worse than Jerry Jones.

Do we have to debate Brady vs Manning?

You claim Brady's numbers are better and the actual stats aren't much better.....Completion % and rating are nearly the same.

In addition to his defense sucking mostly, I also hate the Colts WRs make Manning argument too.

so you are telling me if Peyton ends up with much better stats and the same number of super bowls you would consider Montana better? Hell, I dont even know if he needs to match him in Super Bowls because that is a team accomplishment, not a player... its not like Roger Craig is considered the best RB ever

Who would you rather have on the final game winning drive? That determines who is the best QB. Also, we are missing the point of this thread.

First smart move they have made all season.....

Now trade 1) T.O. and 2) Roy E. Williams and then they could have a chance.

- only trade T.O. if you can get high draft picks (to draft a receiver with)

- Find a CORNERBACK

- get Felix Jones back healthy (amazing rookie who complements Barber perfectly)

- Work EVERYDAY with Tony Romo (he has got to improve for this team to succeed)

They already have that.....Tashard Choice. He was better than Jones....

Sounds crazy but they could even trade Barber while he's hot.

Jenkins picked up his play at corner as the year went by.
