I see your point, and I think it is valid, but I disagree that incorporation is a foregone conclusion. Declaring something an individual right does not pave the way to incorporation. 7th Amendment right to a jury trial isn't incorporated and neither is the right to a grand jury and we consider these "fundamental" rights. Also, it is my suspicion that if Heller took place in any other city in America the outcome would have been different. 5/6/2009 2:01:56 PM |

Advocates of Gun Rights Are Poised for a Victory
Quote : | "WASHINGTON — Advocates of gun rights are poised to win a Congressional victory that eluded them under a Republican president.
To the frustration and discouragement of many Democrats, House and Senate lawmakers and aides say it now appears likely that President Obama will this week sign into law a provision allowing visitors to national parks and refuges to carry loaded and concealed weapons." |

Good for Texas; NC needs to do the same. I 100% agree with gun advocates in this case. There should be no difference in Concealed Carry laws regardless if i'm stepping into Food Lion, NCSU, or the park. 5/20/2009 8:02:36 AM |

The one that annoys me is not being able to carry on base. I just want to be able to keep a pistol in my car, but since I go to base all the time, it's completely impractical to the point that I've never bothered to get my concealed carry permit. 5/20/2009 10:05:55 AM |

wow thats crazy. So you can blow up stuff with a tank, roll around with an M4, practice your grenade throwing skills, but can not even put your gun in the glove compartment of your car. 5/20/2009 11:43:45 AM |

That's interesting. Of all the people you'd think the government would trust with guns, it would be soldiers. Especially if they were to go through the concealed carry course that any citizen can take. Of course, there may be a good reason for this that I'm not aware of (As I'm never on military bases), but I can't think of one. ] 5/20/2009 12:59:23 PM |

The gov't wants you to have guns only when protecting the gov't. The state is much more nervous when private citizens protect themselves.5/28/2009 10:38:27 PM |
