you stay classy, public unions:
Quote :
"On several occasions over the past two weeks of demonstrations in the Wisconsin capital of Madison news media have zeroed in on signs that liken Republican Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker to Nazi leader Adolf Hitler and recently ousted Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak.

Appearing Sunday on NBC's "Meet the Press," AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka was twice asked whether he found the tone at the nearly two-week long demonstrations "wrong" or "inappropriate."

Trumka did not answer, instead saying, "We should be sitting down trying to create jobs. ... In Wisconsin, a vast majority of the people think this governor has overreached. His popularity has gone down. They're saying to him, sit down and negotiate; don't do what you've been doing. So he's losing.""

It's a bad sign that I had to google it to see if Sarah Palin actually said that.

The first mention of it that I found:
Quote :
"Bill Maher uttered a female vulgarism when referring to former Republican VP candidate Sarah Palin on his HBO show Friday night.

“Did you hear this – Sarah Palin finally heard what happened in Japan and she’s demanding that we invade ‘Tsunami,’” Maher said. “I mean she said, ‘These ‘Tsunamians’ will not get away with this.’ Oh speaking of dumb tw**s, did you...”

Maher was offering an imagined Palin response in an apparent attempt at humor, as Palin had made no such statement."

http://nation.foxnews.com/sarah-palin/2011/03/22/now-refuses-condemn-mahers-vulgar-palin-attack

and an even worse sign that Fox News immediately had to clarify that she in fact did not say that.

you had to google it to find the exact same article I linked to?

actually, yes, it is bad that the MSM has so vilified this woman that it actually has to be stated that she didn't say something insanely stupid. Kind of like so many liberals believe she actually said she could see Russia from her house.

No, that is exactly what she said on camera you fucking twit.

Quote :
"When [The President] so often repeated the Sputnik Moment that he would aspire Americans to celebrate. He needs to remember that what happened back then with the former communist USSR and their victory in that race to space, yeah, they won, but they also incurred so much debt at the time that it led to the inevitable collapse of the Soviet Union."

and, when taken away from what she meant, is awesome. Thus the reason John Stewart plays it over and over and over.

hey, you even produced a quote! now note what she said: the DEBT destroyed them. not the satellite. wow, that's a little bit different, isn't it? hmmmm. (i'll happily admit that I know nothing on the subject of the debt for sputnik, so if you want to lampoon her on that, fire away)

She fucked up by not understanding what a Sputnik moment was, which led to her further fucking up by confusing the arms race with the space race.

or, maybe, the debt pattern that she thinks it led to... hmmm... I'm not defending her, cause goodness knows, she is pretty stupid, but the MSM and the liberal bloggers love to jump all over her for shit that really is no worse than what any other politician says

You're not familiar with Maher's show if this shows up on your radar as something newsworthy.

Zack Galafanakis lit up and smoked a joint on this show, just as a reference point...

I'm loving what is currently on CBS right now, where they are bitching about companies putting "head quarters" in other nations to avoid the high corporate taxes in the US. And the solution is... tax em where their workers are! so guess what the companies will do... ship jobs overseas. lol. WTG, liberals.

I hate Paul and Love CNN but Lemon was a complete asshole in that interview. Why would you ask someone a question "do you think you are overreaching yourself" and FORCE them to answer it. Thats not even a real question. Let the man talk.

I'm an atheist, so I could never be elected. I'm also not old enough, and I have many views that don't fit in well with the GOP or mainstream American politics in general. In other words, I'm an "extremist," though what passes for moderate in this country is actually quite extreme.

Keep it up with the black and white thinking, though. In your mind, there's your side, and there's the other side; you don't bother thinking about the details.

^Extreme right is called republican. Moderate is called democrat in this country. Yes there are some people who are extreme extremists.

How am I clueless for hating Paul again?

Did you listen to what he said? Poverty among seniors prior to SS was 50% and today it is 10%. SS can be available to our generation with a few simple fixes.
