I won't deny that the people who didn't peace the fuck out when the cops started trying to shut it down are idiots. They are...

But the cops should at least realize that people are goddamned idiots, especially in large numbers, and act accordingly. Pissing them off is not acting accordingly. Watch the event, sure, and pull aside individual people who start to get out of hand... but cancelling the music and trying to completely shut it down is just asking for a huge disaster, and that's exactly what they got.
