personal opinions ITT. At some point growing up (I'm counting this time period as elementary school through HS and not intramural or rec sports I currently play) I played on varsity, AAU/club, or organized teams for soccer (13 years), football (3 years), wrestling (12 years), lacrosse(4 years), baseball (up through middle school), and street hockey as well as park/neighborhood basketball (I separate this because I know this isn't as competitive).

With all that being said, the World Cup is still by far my single favorite sporting event as a spectator and soccer was my 2nd favorite sport I participated in growing up out of all of those I played. I do also understand that everyone is not going to enjoy it and that is fine. But all these threads arguing over different sports and which is better, more fun, "tougher", requires more endurance etc. just get idiotic and contradictory/hypocritical in people's reasoning.
