^^ There's a pretty decent quality torrent up on Demonoid. I think it was ripped from when when the show was airing on ION. I'm almost through season three and no complaints. And it's just as good as I remembered. 10/20/2010 10:09:57 AM |

She's been one of the most emotionally mature characters the show has ever featured, she's like the anti-Betty. " |
This.
Don, I am disappoint. And fuck Betty for firing Carla. She's determined that Sally is going to remain "a problem" or else she'll be exposed for being a truly crazy, selfish, child and have no excuse to be a bitch. Jesus, everything she flips out about she truly believes she's "entitled" to and is loving playing the victim. Henry's not going to put up with it much longer.
Also. Sterling Campbell Draper Pryce. Pete smoothly fits right in where Cooper was, sitting across from Cosgrove with the others.10/20/2010 5:13:53 PM |

so i dunno how i missed it, but evidently jon hamm is a possibility to play superman in the upcoming reboot
i think they're musing an older john byrne/alex ross sort of superman so i could see it working
although every time i see jon hamm i smell booze and cigarettes, but it's a hell of a way to try to get out of typecast 10/25/2010 8:35:41 PM |

Maybe the reboot is reimagining Superman as a womanizing drunk who can sell things.
Also he's hosting SNL this weekend. All of the previous one's he's done have had some pretty good Mad Men sketches. 10/25/2010 8:42:50 PM |

Quote : | "NBC to take on 'Mad Men' with 'Playboy'
"Mad Men" may soon have some period drama competition. NBC is planning its own series about the swinging '60s - and the goings-on should be even steamier than anything seen at Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce.
"Playboy" is set in the world of the New York City Playboy Club in the 1960s, reports Deadline.com. The series will follow the lives of the club's Bunnies while also exploring the political and moral changes of the era.
Newly engaged Hugh Hefner opened the first Playboy club in Chicago in 1960, eventually expanding the franchise internationally. Guests at the cocktail bars could watch top acts like Ray Charles, George Carlin, and Ann-Marget perform while being served drinks by waitresses in rabbit-eared "bunny" costumes.
"Playboy" is currently in development and the show's cast and air date have not yet been announced." |

We're in for a slew of "evolving mores in the 1960s" shows in the next development season, none of which will approach the quality of Mad Men in all likelihood...but I'd give it a better shot of being decent on NBC than on ABC or CBS at this point in time. 1/7/2011 3:06:05 AM |

The NBC Playboy one cast the black girl who played Lane Pryce's girlfriend on Mad Men to play one of the bunnies. I hope they don't think stealing actors from Mad Men alone is going to make that show successful. 2/28/2011 3:09:25 PM |

Quote : | "But, with just few deal points outstanding in the proposed blockbuster deal -- which would pay Weiner close to $30 million over two years -- word is that talks are suddenly on the rocks. Though Weiner is poised to become the highest-paid showrunner on basic cable, we hear that he is objecting to three things AMC/Lionsgate are asking for: integrating product placement into the series, cutting 2 minutes from each episode's running time in favor of more commercials and eliminating/reducing two regular cast members to save money. Weiner is resisting all of the above. “This is their storied franchise, and they want it shorter and cheaper, with fewer actors and more product integration,” an insider said. “The negotiations are about to collapse as a result.” Reps for Lionsgate and AMC claim negotiations with Weiner's reps continue. The delay in closing a new deal with Weiner has already pushed the scheduled production start on Season 5 and will lead to the Emmy-winning period drama missing its target summer premiere date.
Weiner was in a similar standoff with AMC over extra 2 minutes of commercial load on the show 2 years ago. Ultimately, the two sides agreed to let the episodes run over into the 11 PM hour so extra ad time could be added without having to shorten the scripts. Those defending losing two minutes of Mad Men to commercials point out that Mad Men's running time will still be longer than 90% of basic cable drama series." |
