i would customize and pull out of the garage and do my best to obey the traffic laws and not scrape up my paint job. but as soon as i rear ended the first vehicle it was on.

spending so much time customizing a car only to never drive it during a mission because i didn't want to ruin it or lose it. then i'd spend the mission trying to run from the cops in a beat up Sentinel

yeah i hear that too...but luckily, at least in GTA:SA for example, you could get a pimp ride, carefully take it to one of your properties, then when you park it in the garage, it will repair the damage if there is any

but then when i'd have to do a mission i'd be like "nah, i dont wanna take out that candy green convertible with the purple flames on the side, i might fuck it up and lose it...i'll just ride my NGR bike"

I'm trying to figure out if I should get this for the PS3 or 360. My PS3 is an original style older unit, and I'm afraid it's gonna die soon (I'm basing this on nothing other than paranoia and the fact that it's 6 years old. It's never given me any trouble though) The last game I bought for either system was Skyrim for the 360, and my 360 died when I was 70+ hours in. I replaced it with a new slim version, and I heard the failure rate on those is pretty low. Multiplayer doesn't really interest me at all, but I guess the PS3 being free does have that as a upside if I ever decide to change my mind. I wouldn't consider paying for XBL Gold to play this online, but might decide to try it out on PS3. I would just hate to get it for PS3 and then have it crap out on me 100 hours in then have to pick between replacing my PS3 or getting a copy on the 360 and losing my save game.

Any other variables I'm missing here?

Well, that solidified my decision. Definitely will be picking this up for the PS3 since they have free online. I guess I spoke too soon when I said that the multiplayer aspect didn't interest me at all.

I don't have a launch xbox 360, but I have the first model that has gone through RROD and was fixed by MS. It boggles my mind that it would even run this game. I feel like it is on its last leg, but i have felt this way for a long time. Anyone else have my concern? I prefer xbox to ps3 because of multiplayer, but I am considering getting the ps3 version.
